DURABLE and LIGHTWEIGHT!!
I really like the DC53 STEEL! I have slammed and chopped every kind of wood with this BLADE! Holds and excellent edge with absolutely NO blade warp or deformation. Handle has not come lose, like many others at triple the price! I was actually surprised by it's durability. Very comfortable to wield and effective wether making a shelter or splitting firewood. I've have some blades deform if I hit a rock solid pine knot but to my surprise not this one. The DC53 is well superior to say 65mn!! Compared to other brands this IMO is on the lighter in weight side. The sheath is very nice, the blade clicks in at a medium retention and it comes with a teklok belt attachment right hand only. If your looking for a cheaper price point chopper that will last, I would definitely check out one these blades and they come in a wide array of shapes, sizes and some have leather sheaths. Sharpens easy and absolutely NO blade chips yet and I've been using this for 5 hard use months!! 💪🇺🇸 Here's a few pictures next to the TOPS DART Both USA made BA-KOR 50$ TOPS DART 200$ I use both daily and either are an excellent choice, just depends on how much you want 2 spend! Definitely getting a few more of these BA-KOR woods hackers!!🇺🇸💪💯

Great knife, bad handle
I bought this knife a couple months back. It is great except for the handle. I've cut through a 2×4 and other things with no problem, no chips. The handle can be removed and replaced. Definitely worth the money.

It's a Beast and a Great Value, Instructions for the Sheath Would Have Been Very Welcome
This knife is a beast! It is big, heavy, and extremely sharp for a knife of its size and heft. The full tang gives it a very solid feel and the handle fits my hands perfectly. I have larger hands, if you have smaller hands. you may find this knife a little harder to control. I love the looks of this knife, but I could do without the khaki green design on both sides of the blade. It's not gaudy, or a deal breaker, I just prefer my blades to be "naked", with a traditional hot dip, phosphate finish, or highly polished. The description states that the handle is fiberglass and steel, but it looks and feels more like some kind of hard polymer. It does have aggressive texturing, but not to the point of being hard on your hands. I find it to be a bit on the slick side, but the contour of the handle makes up for it and provides a secure grip. The butt of the handle has what appears to be a discreet, short "skull crusher". The handle is a little short of the end of the tang leaving the tang exposed. It varies in size from 3/32" to 5/32". It's a great value for the price. The cerium sparking tool is great. It's easier to use than the standard flint and steel, and it throws rather large, hot sparks on your tinder. I was trying it while sitting at my bench and I could feel the heat from the sparks. I never had that happen with flint and steel. Now I have to relate what I see as a negative, and that's the absence of any kind of instruction sheet. You may be wondering why someone would need an instruction sheet for a knife. It isn't needed for the knife, but for the sheath that comes with it. The sheath seems to be made completely of ABS plastic, and there is a plastic bar with a locating key on it to adjust the sheath for different belt widths. The piece for belt carry is attached to the sheath with two screws and is hinged so it can be opened to move the adjustment bar. This bar is under, and held in place by another plastic piece with a hinged keeper of it's own. The procedure for removing the bar isn't readily apparent and in the process of trying to do so I broke that secondary piece. An hour later, I had the piece plastic welded together with fine copper wire melted into and embedded across the fracture for strength. The stink from the plastic welding is why I believe it's ABS plastic. hope that wasn't too confusing, but the point is that if there had been instructions on how to open that belt keeper, I would have never broken it. Something as simple as a QR code linking to a webpage for instructions would have been very welcome. For this reason only, I give this knife 4 stars.

Heavy duty chopper...but
Pro's and cons: This a heavy duty chopper. I like the blade shape and it has a thick heavy spine. The spine is not sharp and probably would not strike a fire steel. DC53 steel but it could use a sharpening tune up. The plastic handle is fairly comfortable but the full tang is not flush with the handle scales and is proud along the entire length. The handle is extra long which allows increased chopping power. However there is no hole in the pummel base of the handle to install a lanyard. The sheath is plastic and provides minimal blade retention The sheath has many lashing points. The belt clip attachment could be of better quality and IMO will probably fail over time and heavy use. There is no drainage holes in the sheath. The knife comes with a decent fire steel with striker but there is no way to attach it to the sheath. Overall should be a good chopper. The $68 price would be the maximum I would pay.

Great value for the money and a solid knife.
This thing is a beast.I always need a knife on my ATV to clear brush or small trees. This is no show piece. It's a utilitarian monster. The finish is interesting and so far the tool steel has held up nicely. The through tang is thick and the handle is comfortable and fits my hand well.It is not too heavy, but has a nice balance. It's almost like a mini machete. The sheath took some fiddling, but I did manage to figure it out.The Kydex sheath (I think it's Kydex) fits extremely well and seems to improve over use.At the end of the day, this knife is made to use and should last many years with proper care and sharpening. As I said before, it's not made to be pretty.Great value for the money and a solid knife.
