Helped a struggling DIY'er
I am a novice diy'er and was struggling with some oddly angled baseboards. This tool did the trick and made my task much easier. It's pretty straightforward to use and there are plenty of how to videos to be found on YouTube. The quality of the tool is very good for the price point, it comes with a battery and the case was what ultimately made me choose this over other similarly priced items.

A good goniometer if used carefully...
I like this goniometer a lot and expect that it will get much use. It is easy to use and I found that I could repeatably measure known standards to close ±0.1° (claimed accuracy is ±0.3°). This is plenty good enough for the work that I do in my shop. The two scales move smoothly and it is easy to take a measurement. The locking knob works well so that once you've got your measurement, you can lock the position of the scales for future reference. The scales themselves are well marked and often they are very handy for taking linear measurements as well. There are a few things to be aware of, though, when using this device.First is that the display has enough digits to show measurements to 0.01°. Given that the claimed resolution of the goniometer is only 0.1°, this extra digit is a false level of precision. I'll probably put a bit of tape over that digit so that I don't accidentally make the mistake of thinking that digit is meaningful.Second, it is very important to calibrate the device before each use. The Zero button can reset the devices to 0° in any position. If the device is not properly zeroed (especially when you don't know that the device is not zeroed) you can end up taking an inaccurate measurement. (This is a problem that digital calipers share...) I make it a habit of checking the zero, taking a measurement and then checking the zero again.Third, the hold button will lock the display to a particular reading. This can be very handy at times, but if you forget that the hold function is enabled (or if you accidently enable the hold function while handling the device), you can inadvertently take readings that are not accurate. It would be nice if the hold indicator was much more prominent on the display. So all-in-all, it is a tool that does what it claims to be able to do but attention to detail on the part of the operator is a necessary factor in the successful use of the tool.

GOOD BUY
I have checked this angle finder against known squares and it is right on. One just has to be sure to zero with the jaws completely even before using. Easily done on a flat surface. Actually better than a lot of combination squares.

Easy to use
I bought this product to cut trim for my small bathroom and it worked very well. It was very easy to use and very easy to understand and my cuts were perfect.

Works
I liked how it worked and was easy enough to use. It helps with angle discovery and setup and making those angle cuts. You do need to be careful what zero is and make sure its properly calibrated before use.

Great for angles
This is a good and accurate tool. Helps you get just the right angles in old houses where is no such thing as a right angle. The price is right and would buy again

Very stiff and is hard to set a precise angle
It is accurate enough for measuring angles but is so stiff it is extremely hard to set an angle. I would not recommend it and wouldn't but it again.
