Warm and comfortable, snug and fits well. Buy a size larger.
CAVEAT: Order a size larger. I'm about 5'7" 185 lbs and I normally order a US size medium for all jackets. I ordered the Large this time around and it fits snugly with the arms just a tad long. It comes with super smooth YKK zippers but the dual zippers live on the left side rather than the normal US right. That takes a little getting used to. Like most grid fleeces I've worn (blackhawk, military waffle tops) its very warm but still very breathable. This one is warmer than blackhawk's thermofur jacket and definitely more heavyweight. In a cold stiff wind you might want to add a windshell. The shoulder patch panels are nice and low-profile and on the black jacket they are discreet. They are a bit narrow however and barely hold a standard flag patch. One more thing... I was expecting this one to take a few weeks to arrive from the UK to Texas but it arrived in about a week. I was pleasantly surprised by the very fast shipping!

Runs small but Highly Recommended light fleece.
I am 6'1 210 LBS. I wear a large in the Patriot, and Classic Army Fleece and they fit correctly. The Alpha Tactical runs smaller. I ordered XXL in this because of other reviews, and they are correct. If I had ordered large like all my other Helikon fleece products, it would have been too small. The XXL is a little too big, but not by much. I really like it for layering and temps in the 50F range. It is a light fleece that is very comfortable and the XXL feels like you are not wearing it, does not bind. I like the pockets and style. Cumbersome zipper.

Make sure the review you read, to verify size, is from US or EU..sizing is different
Almost ordered a 2x based on a few reviews I read. Luckily, I stuck with my regular US size of XL which fit as expected. I am 6'0" and 215#. Not as form fitting as I hoped, but like the patterned look and zipped pockets. I bit heavier than a basic Columbia fleece.

Excellent quality jacket ! Very warm on cool days. I am 5'10" at 170 lbs and am physically fit, this XL Alpha Tac Jacket is amazing in both fit and function. I am in process of ordering another Helikon product from Military 1st. Also, I reside in the US and the shipping time frame was very satisfactory. Thank you Military 1st

Great jacket
Looking at other brands there is no comparison. This crushes the competition and the price is right. It does fit snug unless you have Kermit the frog arms.
