Excellent piece of equipmentFunky design with Great Functionality.Volume control has a vary fine adjustment the control buttons a are easy enough to use even in the dark. It's great that you can play even with the lid Up record player like.Two small gripes the perspex on the lid looks like it will become marked easily and you could do with little edge to lift the lid as sometimes you need two hands if on a slipy surface, in bed for instance. All over I'm well pleased.

Excellent sound quality,battery life build quality is excellant

After having tried both old 2nd hand and new portable CD players like the Klim Nomad, this was worth the premium for the sound quality and overall experience.Old CDs sound amazing with good headphones or good speakers using the line out. Very simple operation, and looks beautiful.

If you want to experience the pure uncompressed beauty of true CD sound, then this can and will provide! Coupled with either some really good headphones (I'm using Sennheiser HD600s), or via optical output to another DAC/AMP with decent speakers, you won't believe the audio landscapes possible here. Currently listening to all my old CDs though this, and some feel almost like the first time - could be my memory, but this little unit has better electronics than my old Sony CD Walkman, so maybe not. (Using same headphones.) Believe it can also play FLAC and some compressed audio file types, though not needed for my use case so can't confirm.Nothing's perfect - some niggles: no memory function, so when you stop the current CD, it won't resume from where it left off; no auto-off function, must use manual switch; battery isn't serviceable/accessible (so longevity in question on that) though I'm using it via an external USB power source most of the time.
