Great quality and does what it says, well worth the tenner more to get a years worth of updates over the three months that comes with the lower one.

First time user , lacks the choice of route like in google map. Nice size of screen with visual effects. Sometimes turns off without any reason and takes couple of minutes to restart the device

Took me a while to set up .found the best way was to download the app onto computer, then updating all maps as it would not download from wifi . Used once so far following directions got to remember when it says veer right or left does not mean turn right or left. As we did the first time we used it. If you go wrong it quickly works out new route .female voice is clearer than mans and we had to turn sound up to 80 % .it also. Needs plugging in at all times as the battery is not long lived.

Bought this to replace my old GO 5200 a five inch model. The GO Advanced has a larger six inch screen and is faster otherwise familiar, everything works in the same way. So no learning curve very pleased with the product and the ability to attach to either the dashboard or windscreen is a bonus. Well built and good value.

There are lots of problems with this navigator. A casual look and playing around with this device will prompt you to sign up/ register at Tom Tom but that sign in option seems to be permanently broken as it keeps on saying "Oops try again" If you connect it to the laptop to get it charged then the device will keep shutting down every 5/10 mins, so it needs to be connected to a proper power source, i used my mobile phone charger and it was fine Since sign up /register was broken it meant updates didn't work, but inside settings I found the option to download/update maps meaning I didn't need to sign up/ register Finally, I paid for the world map but the device is really crazy, it hasn't got enough storage to fit in the world map, in fact it can only store 1/10 (more or less) of the world map at any given time. Which means if you try to add more regions/countries it will prompt you to delete other maps first. Very annoying! The navigator is functional only if the user is willing to tolerate these significant design flaws: a broken sign-in system, fragile laptop charging, and critically, a lack of storage capacity for the world map it sells.

Good useful item, fast delivery

I like the quick wifi updates and clear indications onscreen. It responds well to traffic congestion when hooked up to wifi hotspot on my phone. However, although I am well used to following directions on a TomTom device, I find the overly large blue general direction of travel indicator in the top left of the screen is misleading at times especially as it blocks the view of the indicated route ahead when that is curving left. I have twice turned off when I was meant to be bearing left. Time to turn on the massive turn animations I suppose. 🙄

I couldn't get this to stay in it's fitting. My last one was better.
