Best of the best
Bought this pouch for my Recon, so I can carry water and food whilst hunting. As far as I am concerned you cannot beat Eberlestock. Their products are far superior to their competitors. Outstanding every single time!

More than enough room
I bought this for my day pack to make room on the inside. The one thing in my daypack that was takeing up a lot of room was an MRE. I put the pouch on the outside of my pack and put the MRE inside. If I had additional food related gear I would have more than enough room to put it in the pouch as well. There is enough room for about an MRE and a half give or take. Kind of depends on your packing ability.

Not for 3L hydration bladders
... Which is exactly why I ordered it. My Gregory 3D Hydro 3L doesn't fit, it's too tall. A 2L might. I'll use it to pack other stuff I'm frustrated.
