The stock shock lift mechanism on the seat for the Can-Am Spyder wears out quickly. I actually think it's installed upside down. This spring allows me to lift my seat and hold it in place while fueling without having to turn the handlebars to hold the seat up and without having to spend $80 on a replacement pneumatic lift.

Amazon lists the Handyman Springs SP 9713 Compression Spring to be purchased with the WoodRiver Moxon Vise, but they will not work for opening the jaw. Amazon is leading you down the wrong path if that is what you are looking to accomplish. That being said, the springs are plenty springy, just too narrow of an inner diameter for my purposes.

My husband threw away the springs to our baby’s exersaucer and I planned on giving it to a friend. Ordered these springs for a very low cost and worked perfectly for a replacement to the baby jumper! They could be a bit wider but it works and it bounces like new again!
