Excellent headlights for a 2009 Tahoe
I waited 3 months before writing this. I wanted to make sure that the lights would last at least that long.I had been wanting to upgrade my old-school filament headlights to LED for a long time. In the past, there didn't seem to be a good selection of properly spec'd LED lamps for the vehicle. I had tried to use some LEDs for the marker lights, but they didn't last long.Sealight has changed my mind about LED lighting for this truck. The 4-in-one kit with the two low beams and two high beams is perfect - I can replace all the headlights at the same time. The way the individual lights are designed are the way I'd do it if I were the designer: use no fans, and separate the power supply (which generates some waste heat) from the lamp unit itself. It's as hard as heck to dissipate heat from the LED unit, there's little airflow around there, so all the heat sink needs to be used for that. By having the power supply physically separated, the LED unit's heat sink doesn't need to manage that heat. There's a permanently attached pigtail between the LED unit and the power supply unit. This is good design as the physical bulk of the headlight unit is reduced, which is kind of important in the Tahoe, since there's nearly no room behind the headlight unit. Here in south-central Arizona, the under-the-hood temps can easily be 90 C (200 F) or more during the day. Heat is the number one killer of electronics.6000 K is the right color temperature for headlights. The other ones out there at 6500 K are too blue, and the bluer light reflects off fog and dust in the air more, so the glare is that much worse. I had been running xenon bulbs before, and those are positively yellow when compared to these, prolly 3500 K.The pattern thrown is excellent. All four beams are spot on, and I have not had to adjust anything to aim them. The pattern is also wider than the original lamps, which means the road shoulders are more visible now.I have done a fair amount of off-road driving since installing these, in pretty unforgiving environments. My long-range distance has doubled at least, maybe more. And it's daylight white.Connectors are plug-and-play on the Tahoe. No magic required.I'd like for these to hold up at least a year. For me, that's 16 k miles or so, and given my off-road exploring and the abuse the headlights get from that, a year is a good beginning goal.5 stars.Update December 2022.Still love these headlights, both low and high beam. So brilliantly white, with no funky bluish tint. However, for the past 5 months the right low beam has been intermittent. Sometimes it does not light, other times it works fine. And I mean for hundreds of miles, both on and off road. Often, a quick slap on the headlight assembly will get it running again. Sometimes, just turning the headlights off and then on again fixes the issue. When it works, it’s at full brightness. If I remove the headlight assembly, and wiggle the various parts, the only wiggling that seems to make a difference is removing and reseating the lamp itself into the headlight assembly. I see no worn wiring, I was thinking it might be the in-line power converter, but rapping that or wiggling the connector doesn’t make the headlamp work or not.Sealight - can I get just the one low beam headlamp assembly?

So cheap for what you get, can't believe I waited this long to buy. Worth every single penny!
The media could not be loaded. Easy fit, plug and play. Did high and low beams in my 2012 Honda Civic. So much brighter than the halogen bulbs that these replaced! Just installed so I can't speak to long term disability other than the all metal housing design and built in active cooling fans inspire a lot of confidence.

As bright if not, brighter!!
Exactly the quality of bulbs I have been wanting to get. All the brightness one needs and more, all for a very fair price.

Good lights
Great aftermarket replacement. I can now see the road at night which is great. Only issue I have is when using radar cruise control when a bother vehicle is detected and the car starts to slow to maintain distance the lights start to strobe. Not sure if thats a programing issue or just a defect. But overall I'm pretty happy with them. Good product for the price

Great super bright bulbs
Very bright, very blinding if ever a jerk on the road decides you need to turn on these bright hi beam bulbs. Awesome quality as usual coming from SeaLight brand. Been using their bulbs for almost 7 years now on all our cars, so far so good and none hasn’t burned out yet.I HOPE THEY WONT DISCONTINUE THIS SPECIFIC MODEL.. please don’t.

These bulbs are great
I bought these bulbs based on the reviews I saw because the bulbs I bought before from another website wasn't good. These bulbs are great.I installed them in my Subaru Outback 2015. The light is very bright and travels far. Very clear on dark roads. I also went in front of the car from a distance to see whether they blind the oncoming drivers and it does not. The flash in nicely and evenly spread.Installation is pretty easy as the Outback has lot of room right behind the light housing. Even otherwise the back of the bulb is compact enough it will fit in a tight spot also. There is enough wire length to connect to the cars adapter and secure the wiring in a corner away from the cooling fan etc.I have to warn you about the description/heading on the item. It says 14,000LM. But I don't think its that bright. I guess the seller meant 7,000LM+7,000LM since minimum two lights are on at any given time. @seller: appreciate if you correct that. One more thing, the day time driving lights in a Subaru Outback (and some other cars) is the same as the head beam (HB). What they do is send a low voltage so its not as bright as the HB. Now this is a problem for LED because even at low voltage LEDs shine bright. Therefore when you drive during day time it looks as if you are driving with the HB on. Two alternatives to this. One is as soon as you start driving turn the low beam (LB) light on. The second is (on a Subaru) There is a connector hidden under the wiring harness that you can disable so the day time running lights are disabled. But pay attention to your insurance requirements.Overall, its a good buy. Little bit costly but "good things don't come cheap"
