Great performance for the money
I bought this for my wife's bike and am pleasantly surprised at how well it works given the modest price. The only downside I see is there are no installation instructions so I ended up redoing a couple steps when I realized exactly how tightly the cable should be tensioned and how to go about shortening the cable. with some basic instructions I could have been done in 15 minutes, as it was it probably took me an hour in total (repeating a couple of the steps twice). Once installed it works great and at 1/4 the price of a big name post this can't be beat for someone who doesn't demand the lightest/best product on the market.

Great bang for the buck.
Got this dropper for an old Rockhopper to make it a more capable bike. The dropper works fine, a little sluggish compared to my Fox Transfer I have on my other bike, but that is a much more expensive dropper. One problem with this dropper is what to do with the cable slack when the dropper is in the lowered position. I took a carburetor spring And hooked it to the cable and then to my water bottle cage to pull it straight out of the way when in the down position. Works great.

Great Dropper for an old Specialized
My 10yo son got my wife's old hardrock. He was always stopping to adjust the seat. This has made riding so much better. On the street, he can lower it at stop signs and raise it for better efficiency. Mountain biking, he can drop it for the "hairy" parts and raise it on the straights. Because the cable is external, you need to run it so it will have some room to flex when the seat comes down. Not beautiful, but it works great.

Reasonable basic dropper
I bought this to replace a more complicated dropper that was end of life on an Enduro FSR. The install was ok, although finally hooking it up requires a bit of fiddling to get the tension right. Its doable with minimal tools and perhaps about 15 minutes of time. The dropper has been working reliably now for about a year. Only thing I wish is that it had a slightly larger travel (my bike is XL) but it works for most scenarios is as.

Description changed to no lever
Does not come with lever.Cable is too short. That will bring this crappy dropper post into brand name price range after you have to pay for a lever and cable.

Nice dropper for the money!
Installed today. I'm 5'8" with a 31" inseam. On my 29er set at the proper seat height, I'm a toe-touching ballerina at a stop. Makes me creep out and I ride sketchy on technical stuff and had a couple spills at slow speeds because I couldn't get my foot down fast enough. The dropper was the perfect answer I was looking for. And this one looks and works awesome. I don't need a $400 Rockshock or a $600 Thompson for my needs. This is a simple install that can be done with a multitool in 20 mins. Good stuff!

Reliable dropper
Best bang for your buck. Easy to install. And best of all very easy to service and maintain. This is my second one. Got the 1st one back about three years ago. Had a crash on porcupine rim in Moab, Utah. Bent the saddle but the dropper is still in good working condition.

Good value for the $$$$
Had it on the bike about six months now and it’s been working great. My only suggestion in concert with some of the other reviewers here would be to include some better instructions for installation. I’m pretty handy and figured it out pretty quickly but I could see how in could be difficult to figure out.
