Our kit is comprised of all plastic & marine grade stainless hardware to prevent rust. Deterioration is the main reason for failure in a subterranean environment. Installing corrosion-resistant material is important to protect your investment. Wood rots quickly, most metal rusts fairly fast, and concrete will eventually crack. Grass Barrier combined with the securing kit is the optimal solution for long term containment of bamboo.

Exactly The Border That I Needed
Some people might not like the fact that Grass Barrier tends to be a bit wavy but the product has features that are missing in expensive root barriers. My rocky lot with shallow soil faces north and slopes to the west and north at 45 inches in 60 feet. Installation length is 67 feet. The need was to keep the soil from gravitating onto the sidewalk and to keep the soil separate from the pebble driveway while stopping the Mondo Grass from invading the driveway. The alternative was to make a expensive reinforced concrete curb. The driveway run has a 5 degree vertical knee bend which was easily accommodated with a Grass Barrier connector kit. Each end of the total run was terminated with a 2" X 2" X 14" 8 gauge super hard fiberglass angle stake connected with stainless 1/4-20 bolts, nuts and fender washers. The single 90 degree bend at the driveway entry was nicely accomplished with a properly shaped small boulder as an accent and 3/8" rebar spikes. The Grass Barrier will surely be there intact until the property is razed. Note: My Mondo Grass stays above 4" depth.
