Really makes you explore the environment!
This a fun game for all ages above 10 years although younger players may need some help. It is in a dark environment but not scary and the cat is very well done with real cat-like mannerisms. As an adult kind of new to video games I am finding it really enjoyable without having to learn complex button actions. You have to think and explore which is really fun! I highly recommend this game to just wind down after playing a jump, hop, bashing video game. Buy it. It’s very different and I love having it it my “library”!

Unreal quality and performance!
I played this game on a 3090 when it first released. I mostly only play on my lite these days. I remember my pc struggling with this title back then. I don’t know what they’ve done to optimize it for the Switch but wow am I impressed. It runs near flawlessly and story is as great as ever. Top 10 game ever made. Thank you for putting this on Switch! You guys ROCK!

Great for the Price you pay
This is a cute and fun game. Not for young children due to some really scary scenes.

STRAY - Nintendo Switch Game
Stray on the Nintendo Switch is a surprisingly immersive and emotionally engaging experience that stands out for its unique premise: you play as a stray cat navigating a dystopian cybercity populated by robots. The concept alone is enough to draw curiosity, but thankfully, the game delivers on much more than novelty. From the start, the atmospheric world-building is top-notch. The decaying alleyways, neon-lit streets, and mysterious underground passages create a setting that's both haunting and beautiful. Even on the Switch’s more modest hardware, the visuals hold up quite well, especially in handheld mode. While it doesn’t match the fidelity of the game’s performance on more powerful platforms, the art direction helps maintain the tone and emotion throughout. The gameplay is simple but satisfying. You explore, climb, solve light puzzles, and interact with robotic characters using only the tools a cat would reasonably have—like meowing, knocking things over, and squeezing through tight spaces. The developers clearly paid close attention to capturing authentic feline behavior, which makes the experience feel charming and oddly believable. Controlling the cat feels natural and smooth for the most part, though there are a few moments where jumping or navigating tight ledges can be mildly frustrating due to camera angles. One of the game’s strongest elements is its emotional depth. Despite the lack of spoken dialogue, the story comes through clearly via environmental storytelling and interactions with your drone companion. Themes of loneliness, hope, and companionship give Stray a surprising narrative weight that lingers long after finishing it.However, there are some drawbacks. The Switch version does suffer occasional frame drops and slightly longer load times, particularly in busier areas of the city. It doesn’t break the experience, but it’s noticeable. Also, some players might find the linear design and shorter runtime (roughly 5–6 hours) underwhelming depending on expectations.Overall, Stray is a heartfelt and visually engaging game that brings something truly original to the platform. It may not be technically perfect on the Switch, but it’s still a captivating journey that’s well worth taking.Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. A beautifully crafted, emotionally resonant adventure with minor technical compromises on the Switch.
