AntHouse - Natural Sand Ant Farm - Acrylic T Kit 15x15x1,5 cm (Free Ants)

The Ant Farm arrived promptly and was very well packaged. The Queen and her brood appeared to be very content on the test tube with a very good supply of water. Everything necessary to get started was included and the construction of the Ant Farm is to a high standard. In order to make sure the Ant Farm does not get knocked over I would recommend some kind of double sided sticky tape or similar on the base.My son - aged 11 - is fascinated by scientific matters and having the Ant Farm has been a great move. He observes what is happening and reads up on the subject. Watching how the Ants organise themselves is very interesting.

Absolutely amazing!Arrived safely and exactly as described - easy to set up and the ants behaved in just the manner set out in the instructions and on the website. We've had loads of fun watching them and they seem to be increasing in number steadily, they adapt to changes in their surroundings with clear intelligence and work was a perfect team.Even though we've only had the farm for 5-6 weeks,I can't recommend this product highly enough......

Bought this for my two boys 2 & 4 year old, to look at and myself to look after.Came with a Queen, 8 workers and I think they had some eggs - they kept them looked after and took them underground pretty sharpish!They didn't hang about and got straight to work with digging in their new habitat. The photos are the day I got them and the day after, you can see they have been busy all night!I have my reserves about one of them though (see photo) bit of a lazy ant just hanging around and not pulling its weight at all! Even the Queen was down in the hole doing all the heavy lifting!Overall, very happy with the product, how it was packaged and the price. 😊🐜

Easy to set up following the instructions that come with it. Comes from Spain & the ants travelled well in their test tube (only 1 died enroute). Ants transfered easily from the tube to the sand sandwich, Queen took a while longer to follow them but has settled in well. The colony has already started digging tunnels & making chambers which is amazing to watch & has the whole family mesmerised, a brilliant alternative to computer games for my 15yr old son 😁FYI the foraging box has 2 holes, 1 either end which need blocking before you add the ants - stoppers/ bungs do not come with it, so we used cotton wool

I bought this as a gift for my cousins son for Christmas. He is 4. We thought if he had pet ants that he might appreiciate the insects outside the house more. My cousin loves it more than her son. It is smaller than i thought it would be but thats my fault for not checking the measurements. Its brilliant. All the ants were alive. The instructions say to keep the ants in the testtube for a while but reviews on here say to get them free as soon as possible so thats what we did. We set the ant farm up and then opened the test tube placing it gently on top among the little stones and the ants came out in their own time. I want one myself now. Facinating. Really pleased!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Love the Ant farm, it came well packed and the ants it came with (Lasius niger) were all alive and well. I would have preferred a different ant species since lasius niger are very tiny compared to harvester ants. On the video I attached I had to zoom in to see them well. Took the ants about 3 or 4 days to eventually start digging and haven't dug very much or they have started digging in the middle of the sand away from the plastic so I can't see any more tunnel other than that of in the photo but that's not reason to deduct any stars from my review because the suppliers cant control what the ants will do once in their new home. I will however remove a star because of the price, just think its overpriced for what it is.

Bought for my partner and he is very pleased with them. The ants are great and really thriving. The queen has had lots of ants and eggs, and it's amazing to watch how they work together. They require little looking after but you can easily spend alot of time just watching them. The ants built a tunnel then changed their mind and filled it back up again! Amazing to watch. Recommend this enclosure as makes it very easy to feed and change water. The queen was straight our building their space from the moment she went into the enclosure.

Amazing customer care, And an amazing product. The ants are so friggin cool and they had all ready started laying eggs not he traveling tube so they are obviously happy and content when they come in the box. Can't recommend enough.
