OtterBox Defender Series MagSafe Case for iPhone 16 Pro, Shockproof, Drop Proof, Ultra-Rugged, Protective Case, 7x Tested to Military Standard, Blue, Non-Retail Packaging

This is my 4th Otter Box case bought on Amazon. The first three lasted my iPhone 13 an average of 3 years. Was buying the $50 ones from their store, so I just figured it just cheaper materials. So when I bought my iPhone 16 pro, thought I'd spend the extra and get the expensive version as a last attempt for them to regain my confidence. Unfortunately this one lasted me only 6 weeks and now too late to return. My last defender case! They don't build them like they used to. They used to out last my phones, now they're just an expensive joke :(

Not only is this case rugged, it’s comfortably tactile as well. I bought this because I kept dropping my iPhone 16 Pro (sometimes two or three times a day) and wanted to protect it more than a sleek case did. Happily, this case protects my phone much more while it also provides a much better grip. I now rarely drop my phone.

The inner plastic case seems well made but the outer softer material got extremely dirty looking in about two weeks. I’ve owned otter box cases before and have never had this happen. Buy the black one rather than the blue one. Very disappointing for such an expensive case.

This is a put on-leave on case. If you have to remove the case to mount your phone on a gimbal or other mount it is probably not the case for you. The case has a clam hard plastic inner case that has a thin upper piece that snaps on to secure the phone. This piece will break regardless how careful you are with it. Also it is not the easiest case to put on and off. It is super thick and makes your phone footprint rather large. If you want rugged protection and you leave the case on this may be a case for you. If you are like me and need to remove the case, it may not be a good option.
