Flat Cats Window protection for Cats Standard Twin Pack (60cm x 115cm Grey Mesh/White Fixings)

These are an absolute saviour! I am Australian, and these are called (flyscreens) back home. They are standard fittings on every household window frame. Why they are not on UK house windows, I do not know. So to see these! I was sceptical i must say. I purchased these, which comes with 3 screens and fittings. Very well made. But were they going to be sturdy enough for my needs. I have 2 Maine Coon cats. With the warmer weather and having windows open, its impossible to keep them in. These are incredibly strong screens and withstand the test of two Coonies, trying to claw at the mesh to jump out of the window. Very easy to fit around the window frames, in minutes and the cats sat there looking out happily. Very well made. I have 3 windows now cat and bug safe. Going to purchase a couple more sets for the remainder of the windows in the house for Summer. Just could do with them not being priced so high, I do think if the price wasn't to high alot of people on the Maine Coon website, who are wanting these also for their homes, to keep their cats indoors, would also purchase these. Not just for keeping pets in, but definitely a necessity for keeping unwanted insects and bugs out.

We live in a first floor flat and it's our first summer with our rescue cat Pickle. We were really worried about her getting out on the window ledge (as she's so inquisitive) and falling. We had been keeping the windows on air lock but with it getting warmer was just too stuffy. These protectors are amazing! Really easy to fit and don't worry if you have odd sized windows, we brought two protectors, the kitchen window fits perfectly, our lounge one (in the photo) is a shorter window so we just cut the protector to size, no issues at all, still works great. They are really sturdy, fit snug, Pickle has pushed at it with her head and the protectors have never moved. Also stops flies and bugs coming in which is an added bonus. We would highly recommend.

I have an outdoor cat who I don't allow out at night . She is shut in by 8/9pm every night without fail. Last summer was unbearable with the heat and having to have the doors and windows closed with her whining to get out . Came across this product a couple of days ago , so easy to put up , not flimsy, really good quality went straight online and ordered another one ! Now she can sit in the evening by the window , enjoying the cool breeze......and so can the rest of us !

We have a new cat that has to stay in for a few weeks and the house is roasting without the windows being opened. I purchased these and was delighted and amazed with how easy they are to fit . Took only a couple of minutes ! I love the fact that the really strong velcro that is placed onto the window cill is provided in enough of a quantity to ensure that if you wanted to place two strips of this side by side making this product very strong you can do so. The sellers aren't stingy in their provision. There is also a lovely wide band of velcro sewn onto the curtain which makes this very secure. Additionally even though the photo and indeed the material looks dark in the packet when it's up its doesn't cut down on light and apart from the surround that looks a very light grey you wouldn't really know it was there. It doesn't reduce visability and the cat now loves to sit on the window looking out because she can now smell the air, feel the air on her face and hear the birds. She is still safe but gets all of the sensory benefits of being outdoors ( except of course the exercise ) but in a few weeks she'll be out but we will be keeping these up as they also are great insect repellents. An excellent product which I loved so much I ordered a custom made one and it was delivered the following day ! The customer service is exceptional and second to none ! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

It's a good piece of material. The only issue is when you cut it to size you loose the velcro. Had to do a mish mash on my window which isn't secure. If you have the right size window it'll be an ideal product.

I'm a foster carer for cats, so get a steady influx of different cats. I have two of these meshes and they've been great. I've had all sorts of cats large, small and kittens, I had no problems with any of them. The kittens did try to climb it, but it held strong and I promptly removed the scaling spider kitten . Fitment can be a bit awkward, I don't think it can be any easier, but it can be fiddly . Especially if you have blind or curtain rails in the way . Price wise, I do think it's a little over priced , £35 for some mesh and Velcro seems steep, but they are sturdy, and for a product like this, it's best to go with what you trust . I will probably order more, as once summer comes back round, it's nice to be able to have the windows open.

Good everything needs in the box

I'm really impressed with this. Easy to put up and now we can have the window open. It was a bit long so I've had to fold it over at the top and staple it (which is why it looks darker at the top in the photo). It also comes with enough Velcro to do a double layer, but unfortunately with my window size I haven't been able to do so (there's also a section bottom right without Velcro due to Formica splashback being in the way, but unless the cat is determined to lift it up I think she'll be safe). Added bonus is that it also keeps the flies out.
