I have several viridian products this is my favorite. Very bright and lite weight and the functions are very easily activated

I recently picked up a Ruger LC carbine in .45 acp and wanted a light and laser for it. After looking around, I stumbled across the Viridian 4LUX 2K. It may seem a little pricey, but keep reading.First, it's built like a tank. When you pull it out of the package, it is an absolute CHUNK of well-machined aluminum. You can also use it as a flashlight or laser pointer. Or even as an instrument of self-defense in a pinch.Controls are very straightforward. The momentary contact switch temporarily activates the selected light/laser combination. The two side switches serve to cycle through the various modes and also act as ON/OFF switches for the selected mode.The flashlight is a very serviceable 2000 lumens (or so, haven't measured). Whichever way, it's bright enough to put a shine on anything you aim it at. Since the purpose of the weapon will be home defense, I've dialed the flashlight back to medium power with laser. This will put out enough light to brighten a room without blinding you. If you need to blind someone, you can always dial up the high-power strobe mode on the light. The green laser is solid, bright, and very visible.The unit is rechargeable and comes with a battery pack and two USB cables - one for charging the battery pack, the other for charging the flashlight/laser unit. This is an incredibly thoughtful design touch, since it effectively can double (or even triple?) your battery life in the field.The packaging was first-rate and included the tools needed to get you on the air, including a couple of extra M-LOK nuts/screws. Again, thoughtful.Since the Ruger LC 45 doesn't have a forward magazine well, it doesn't provide a natural purchase point during handling, so this flashlight/laser provides the needed forward purchase and helps to visually balance the LC 45.Overall, I'm exceptionally pleased with this unit. It isn't my first Viridian purchase and definitely won't be my last. The thoughtful features and quality of construction will definitely keep me coming back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
