Works great. I wanted to try out cast iron restoration. My first two pieces went great. I'll build a bigger tank moving forward and use this for smaller projects, but excellent product.

This kit is great, much better than stripping a wall wort and putting my relics in an old water jug in my kitchen. I really like the included sacrificial 360 degree metal plate they include as well as the transformer. This thing strips rust off WAY faster than my old system used to. It used to take me at least a week to remove the rust off of a pair of plyers, this system does multiple pieces at once, over night. I think the speed comes down the the high current used and the fact that the sacrificial metal is surrounding the pieces. My old system would barely have any visible bubbles coming off the pieces whereas this system creates a torrent of bubbles and rust. I was shocked to see the water turned to rust color in a matter of 5 or so minutes! I also really like the basket they include, it really helps with tools or screws. One word of warning that they fail to mention in the instructions, metal gives off Hydrogen gas when de-rusting, please make sure to only do this in a ventilated room or at least a room with some way of letting the gas escape. Its unlikely to cause issues since hydrogen escapes easily but its worth mentioning since this kit produces an unusually high amount of bubbles. All in all, this kit is fantastic, if your not sold on getting the bucket, accessories and sacrificial metal (which probably wont last too long), buying just the power supply is totally worth it. I have not found a better power supply for this application than the one included with this kit!

When I got this, I did not realize I would soon be moving. That simply means, it took me a while before I could get around to using it. Plus, the most rusty pans that I had (that I wanted to use in this) did not make the move with us. So while it seems to work on a couple of old wrenches that were just left at the new house, unfortunately I don't have much info to offer. I do wish there was an indicator light. Without it, you don't know if it has power until something starts happening. I also think they could have afforded to add a power switch.
