Protect the skin around it while assembling.
The screen is great! I already have a portable Elite Screen so I was familiar with the quality. I will say that you need to be very careful with the black skin around the edge while assembling or you will end up like me and have scuffs in it. Not a big deal, but you want it to be perfect. Also, it is not easy to assemble. The springs are a massive headache, but they are what keep the screen itself taut, so they are a necessary evil. BTW, don't do like I did and stand it up against a door handle. I was terrified when I went back to it and saw the bump in the screen, but it immediately disappeared. For what it's worth, this was shipped to me on Guam and it was packed well enough to survive being on the ship for weeks. Would definitely buy again.

Excellent purchase
The screen was super easy to assemble and didn’t take very long to put together. It looks really good on the wall and it saves space in the family room as well. The picture quality is really good also when displaying the image from my projector, granted I have a decent projector that is a true 4k laser. I highly recommend this screen for any room that you may want to place this in your home. Great quality and decent price.

Amazing screen for great price!
This is my first time assembling a projector screen, but far from my first time using tools. I honestly was impressed with this screen for the price. I had some issues with parts missing, but luckily they provide extras. For the price, and the issues I experienced the screen is still worth it. I wasn't expecting perfection in every detail. This is a budget friendly screen. If it was one of those $500-$1500 screens I would expect perfection for those prices. Screen was very well packaged and arrived without damage to the screen, even though the box looked pretty beat up. The directions were pretty straight forward and easy to follow although it would have been easier with larger pictures but still do-able. I really liked that they provided a thin sheet like material to build the screen on. The corner and center sections that connect the frame together, have threaded holes for the screws. I had a few screw holes that the screw had a hard time getting started in, probably small burrs left over from creating the threads. I just removed the connector section and was able to put more force into the screw when holding the connector section by hand, and it cleaned up quickly and the screws was able to go into the threads easily after that. Extra screws are provided. I think I have something like 4-6 extras after completion. The screen material itself fit great onto the frame. The dowels provided fit great into the sleeves along the edges of the screen. I did not have any dowels sticking out past the frame((If dowels are too long, they would be easily cut with a cheap hacksaw)). I would suggest laying out the dowel rods on the back of the screen in the frame before sliding them in the sleeves. That way you will be able to see where the dowels fit bet. For my 100'' screen, I had 6 dowels, 2 longer dowels, and 4 shorter dowels. The 4 dowels went in the sleeves on the top and bottom of the screen, and the 2 longer ones went in the sleeves on the sides of the screen. Instructions for connecting springs to the dowels through the holes in the sleeves was very easy follow, and worked out great for me, other than I didn't have enough springs pre-installed. ((they place the springs into a track on each section of the frame from the factory, the springs are taped down into the track so they are secured during shipping)) I found it was easiest to pull the dowel in the sleeve as close to the spring as possible and then slightly lift the screen up when inserting the spring hook through the hole in the sleeve onto the dowel. It kept the spring hook from making holes or scratching the sleeve that the dowel was in. Center bar was last to install and was easy, no hardware for it. It just uses a friction fit. This screen also comes with some brackets and hardware to hang the screen on your wall. The hanging brackets are made out of aluminum and use a French Cleat style(best hanging style) hanging system, which the frame perfectly rests on the brackets without interfering with any of the springs. Once assembly was completed the screen frame feels light yet strong. I had no wrinkles at all when finished. I never had any smells from manufacturing. The screen looks very high quality, especially considering I purchased it for $150. **The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because they didn't install enough springs on the frame rails from the factory. Luckily they sent 4 extras which I used all 4 to make up for the ones missing. The frustrating part is that I had to take more than half of the screen apart to add in the missing springs where I needed them.

Easy and Crease-less install!
I just assembled and installed this last night. I must say, it was super easy to assemble and the screen part with the springs was definitely my fear... but even that was so easy to set up. They give you the right toolsets and it comes out perfect without any crease! Definitely would recommend!

This screen makes even a cheap projector look good! Might make you want to buy a better projector.
I have tried other cheaper projector screens that are hard to setup and impossible to get smooth. This screen takes some time to get put together, but once it is set up, it is awesome. The size is HUGE! 100 inch frame is bigger than I realized. The felt border is perfect at capturing light bleed from the screen creating a dark black border. While the brightness of the material isn't prefect, it reflects plenty of light making my little portable projector produce a picture like I have never seen it make before. Yeah, I spent more on the screen than my projector, now I am looking at getting a better projector! Even though I spent more on the screen, I feel like this was a great investment to start building a budget conscious theater experience.

poor Quality! do not use screen with spring tension
First I am a professional installer I normally use "screen innovation" Da-lite and Stewart screens assembling a screen should take 20 minutes and I normally do it by myself. this elite screen took me 45 minutes and I needed help cause of the spring tension system. you need one person pulling the screen material and another person using a tool!! pulling on a small spring to get it into a hole. when I was done you could see the black portion of the material in some parts of the screen that means the tension is uneven all around. so I found myself going to home depot buying Velcro to use it on the black spots that were visible around I will not recommend this screen tension style other than that the screen material is not bad 1.1 gain cinema white picture looked good on 4K projector. but if I have to spend 90 minutes to assemble the screen and spend $30 on strong Velcro in order to hold the tension in place not worth it.

Overall, we’re really happy with this purchase. It looks great, and so far seems to be of good quality. Assembly was relatively painless for the most part. We did have an issue with the insertion of the tension rods on one side where the hole provided wasn’t large enough, and we had to struggle to get it in without causing too much damage. It’s super important that you’re careful when installing the springs. Make sure you attach them to the tension rod and try hard not to break the holes provided. Read the instructions thoroughly all the way through before starting so you don’t make any errors.

Once put together this is a nice screen. It definitely takes some work and tine to build it. But once done it looks good. I would recommend it.

Got this super quickly for our small basement cinema room. The screen is super sturdy and came with everything needed to mount it on the wall. The quality is quite good for the price. Definitely install it with 2 people and start installing the tension springs from the corners first and work your way inwards. There are a couple of YouTube videos that helped with installation too and had good tricks. Definitely worth it!

Disclaimer: This is my first projector screen. I've never reviewed or owned any other types/brands. When compared to other recommended brands, Elite Screens comes out MUCH cheaper. The packaging was impeccable. Assembling the screen was not easy. I did it all solo, and my fingers hurt for a few hours. But don't take that as negative feedback: There's simply no other good solution to stretch the screen. In fact, I believe they should come with more springs than are included. The tension bars run the entire length of the screen, so there's no reason not to add more springs. As it stands, the spaces between each spring almost always create a slight curve in the screen which allows the black border of the (white) screen to show. Not a big deal, very hard to notice during viewing and I'd say no impact on image quality. But those springs must cost very little. Why not add more? I might contact the manufacturer to get more sent my way. Installing the screen on the wall was very easy. Once you've got the brackets on the wall hanging it on them is simple and easy. Overall I am very happy.
