I bought this set of wicked book set for my best friends birthday Aug 19th he and I went in June to see wicked the musical in tulsa and we last christmas time saw the 3d movie of the first part of wicked can't wait to christmas time for last part of wicked the movie is coming out I hope they do it in 3d again he will love these book he is huge reader im not this is us at wicked the musical. He will be excited when opens books on aug 19th at his 77 birthday party

Love the books and series. Box came badly damaged but books in great shape

I find myself coming back to re-read Gregory Maguire’s books. With each reading I pick up more and fall in love more deeply with his books. I feel sad for people that keep going to this play, without enjoying these fabulous books as well. Never to late to read the best of the classics.

So far so good! I’m liking Wicked. I saw the movie first but I’m now reading the book. I have to mention this is NOT for children! This book is rated R! Please do not give your children these books before reading yourself. I watched the movie with my kids but never knew the books had very dirty language. My kids will not be reading these. Maybe for age 16 and up.

The series is fine—interesting enough that I wanted to see how it all played out, but not a favorite. I didn’t feel that “can’t-put-it-down” pull that I get from most books I really love. The world-building is unique, and the take on Oz is clever, but I often found myself passively listening or reading rather than fully engaged.I did really enjoy hearing the author narrate Book 2—his voice and rhythm matched the tone of the story well. The other narrator just didn’t work for me and made it harder to stay connected.Glad I finished it, but I wasn’t obsessed.
