These bowls are NOT stainless steel. They are plastic with some silver coloured coating. Stainless steel doesn't get dents!They feel very plastic and cheap. I wouldn't even try to put them in the dishwasher!Not at all as described. Very very disappointed.Will be using as dog treat bowls as no good for anything else.

I was disappointed at first, thinking like another reviewer that it was a cheap Chinese imitation steel, as its incredibly lightI now believe that it is steel but very thin walled with an air cavity, which I guess gives the insulating propertiesIm a fan!

My mistake but they were so much smaller than I needed. More like a child's bowl than an adults. Pictures of product really need something to compare the size with so you have a better idea of what you are buying. Ahh. Yes just read the rest of the advertising header. 'for children' and so they are. As a result they are very good and cool to touch when full of hot food.

Bowls are surprisingly light yet are quite strong. They are attractive and polished inside and out. Photo shows six of them on the right (4 other items on left are not part of the product)

Light but not strong

Despite washing several times and attempts to polish clean, these bowls produced black stuff which marked hands and cloths and made them unusable. To be fair the cost was refunded quickly but I felt I should warn potential buyers. As someone else said, clearly not made from stainless steel.
