Can these be used with dry erase markers?

The plastic material is an extruded polypropylene plastic and we make it to our own specifications.  While we don't position this plastic as being 'dry eraseable', the fact is that polypropylene does have some properties to it that allow it to function like a dry erase surface.  There are various factors that affect the surface's ability to be wiped clean including age of the material, the level of corona treatment left, brand of dry erase pen, and cleaning method.

Question 2

Will sharpie easily write on these and not smudge?

the surface is smooth so smudging could be a problem but if you are very careful and let the Sharpie ink dry before handling, it should be fine.

Can these be used for sublimation

Accepted Answer

Dye sub will work with some polyester fabrics and other polyester-based materials, but frankly I wouldn't expect it to work with our polypropylene paddles, although I'd love to be proven wrong!  This is because polyethylene and polypropylene are not 'polyesters'.  As you probably already know, the often-used dye-sublimation materials like ceramics, glass, wood and metal, are often coated with polyester so they can be used with the transfers in a heat press.  At Better Bidders, we print digitally directly to our custom polypropylene (BasicPRO and ValuePRO lines), Sintra PVC (PremiumPRO lines), and custom high-impact polystyrene (PlatinumPRO line) plastic materials using our FUJIFilm Acuity flatbed printer which uses UV-cured inks. Question 4

What can you decorate these with? What all will stick to this material?

Most tapes, post-its, glues (incl. glue sticks) can be used as well as all permanent markers.  Dry Erase pens (depending on the brand) will wipe off (perhaps as intended).  Pencil, Ball Point pens, and roller balls not recommended.
If you are to place self-adhesive stickers or decals and want them to come off, find stock that has a removable adhesive; or better yet have Better Bidders print them.  Note:  Most decals stock you purchase (eg Avery) or have made are usually NOT made with removable adhesive stock and are often paper-based which will make them difficult if not impossible to take off in one piece.   We produce decals and stickers (for selling sponsor graphics on the paddle most often) using only vinyl stocks (stronger), not paper, and which have removable adhesives for easy removal.  Very reasonable prices and no setups.
