Beetle Blaster 5X Better

I've tried various substances in the beetle blasters and settled on diatomaceous earth as vegetable oil is so easy to spill. Prior to using these I was using cut up swiller dry pads which caught some bees in the material as well as Small Hive Beetles. After a few uses the blasters aren't as sturdy as when new, and the edges start to curl up. I throw the current one out and start with a new one. I haven't actually caught any beetles in the blasters but that could be due to the season. I'm careful taking them out for cleaning as the beetles will hide underneath the edges. Really I've been using a combination of methods including diatomaceous earth on the ground directly under the hive box to catch the pupae. Right now in the Southern California winter, the SHB don't seem to be as big an issue, I'm no longer using the swiffer pads but am keeping one blaster in the top box.. It's a never ending issue, so I'm using everything at my disposal.

Not authentic 'Better Beetle Blaster' beetle traps...cheaply make copies...I will pay the extra money and buy the originals as they work much better, catch more beetles, lay flatter between frames in the hive ... .these allow beetles to just hide under the edges..

I was not completely happy with these as they arrived a bit bent up. I thought the plastic would be sturdier then it is. The price was cheap enough and there were enough I could use the less damaged ones. So some did work

Currently dealing with a beetle infestation because I didn't take care of my hives last fall. Order these and have them in there for a week and I have already caught at least 50 Beatles between the two hives.

These were nothing more than cheap plastic boxes. They arrived cracked and useless. Got a refund.

They work, little oil in them, place in hives and beetles drown.

Cheaply made but does the job well.

Caught more bees then beetles.
