Top Quality Gin
Above average, very drinkable lime gin with a kick! A bit expensive, but worth every penny.

Delicious flavour, with a strong dash of lime
Tanqueray is my mum's favourite gin, so we bought her a bottle of this as a birthday present. The additional lime tastes amazing Nd really DDS to an already perfect gin flavour. You do t lose any of the strength due to the flavouring. It's fairly good value for money. We're all fans of the range and can definitely recommend this. This works great with a tonic water or lemonade, which really brings out the lime flavour.

One of the Tanqeray flavoured gin range.
Although I’m not a gin drinker myself, this will be gifted later in the year to a real gin buff, who discovered it, and once tasted, fell for its charm. It’s distilled 4 times, always made in smaller batches, in a select range of flavours, and appears to be growing ever popular with gin lovers throughout.

Perfect if you hate 'flavoured' gins but want to try something new.
I am a bit of a gin snob and, whilst willing to try anything (I know, I'm a real trooper!) I very much veer towards classics such as Tanqueray and steadfastly avoid anything gimmicky which the recent national obsession with gin seems to have encouraged. That's why it's taken me a while to try this Rangpur - one of a series of gins from the brand which also includes Malacca, Sevilla and Lovage - because, well, why would you tamper with gin beyond adding a dash of Fever Tree and waving it casually in the direction of a lemon? You see, I understand how adding rhubarb, cherries, chillies, chocolate etc etc to alcoholic drinks is intended to make that particular drink appeal to people who don't actually like it, but it simultaneously appalls the purists among us. In fact, had this not been on offer in duty free as I passed through on my way home from a business trip, I might never have tried this lovely gin and dismissed it instantly as a 'flavoured' variety and therefore beneath my contempt.Luckily, I was in a daring mood and my bravery paid off as this is absolutely not a 'flavoured' gin as such but a top notch Tanqueray with a hint of Rangpur lime. Well, not even a hint - it's more subtle than that and the lime is more in the nose than on the palate where the citrus element is only just detectable. It's also a lovely sweet gin (in that uniquely bitter-sweet way that only gin manages to be) and carries a bit more of a kick at just over 41% abv. However, it's the taste that counts, so I'll use my other half's reaction after a good slurp of Tanqueray Rangpur and tonic to sum up this product: "Oooh - that's a bit addictive isn't it?"You have been warned!

Acquired Taste
I generally like Tanqueray Gin and thought I'd try this flavoured one accentuated with lime. It does have a distinct taste but perhaps not for me.

Unique Flavour
In a maze of currently popular flavoured gins, this one, together with Tanqueray's "Sevilla", has to be one of the best with subtle, unique Lime notes and good, high alcohol content. Definitely one of my favourites - not, thankfully, too expensive but doesn't have the synthetic taste of some of the more "pop" offerings.

The rangpur limes give a lovely taste of citrus to this gin
This is one of several reviews I will be doing of various gins.I have something of a gin habit and rather geekily score gins for both g&t and martini on a spreadsheet (I mix 1:5 with a twist of lemon, well I don't mix it myself thats what husbands are for ) . I score out of ten and I give my go to gin (Bombay London) a 5 out of 10 to act as a baseline to judge against. I score more than once so I get an idea of how they taste over different times and occasions. Please remember these scores are personal and what I like you might not.So on to Tanqueray RangpurG&T 8/10Martini 7/10The rangpur limes (which aren't actually limes but rather a fruit similar to a cross between a lemon and a mandarin) make a very citrus tasting, very fresh G and T. I drink mine without any additional lemon or lime. This is not a traditional tasting gin but if you fancy something a little different then this is an excellent choice. For the martini we paired it with Noilly Pratt and again the citrus comes through very clearly. The martini is not as smooth as my favourite martini gins but nor is it particularly harsh.I think that this gin is excellent value and we are now on our second bottle so it is definitely on our buy again list.
