I have attended several of his history speeches about our local history and Baltimore’s origins directly tied to our harbor.You will enjoy this book and keep it for historical reference.I recommend this book..

If you have been lucky enough to attend one of Jack Burkert's talks about his hometown, you will enjoy his new book. It is filled with Baltimore history and includes the quirky detail that makes Baltimore, Baltimore. It makes for a very readable history lesson of the city and the twentieth century. Jack is a lifelong educator, who most recently retired as an educator with the Baltimore Museum of Industry. This is a must read for those who want to learn more about Baltimore.
