Read This before buying this product
I cant get my scale connect to my Wifi Home network. I tried the following things to make it work.1. Tried the software based and the web based setup options, from my mobile ,my Windows laptop, and a MAC of my friend nothing worked.2. Checked all the Recommended router settings, were fine like 2.4 Ghz 802.11 b Frequency settings ( writing from memory, numbers may be different ).3.Changed router password to no special characters, even removed password authentication all together. Nops.4. The router was pretty old, Di Link DIR 600, Bx Firmware, 2.03, so I thought why not ? Got a Netgear Router from amazon. it worked perfectly !! Not the Scale however, same error.5.Again all router settings verified.6. Uploaded all the Logs to Fitbit support, after 5 days of back and forth emails, they haven't offered anything useful. They have the God Damn Logs, they are asking for a screenshot of the error !! How lame can it get.7. The scale normally shows weight, but it never get to connect to the WIFI.Error:In the scale, it says "NO SYNC" or "WIFI ERR".And in case you are wondering, YES ! I HAVE MADE SURE MY WIFI PASSWORD IS CORRECT !!!!Conclusion:I am really really dissapointed from Fitbit. I have a Blaze and I was very happy with it, so thought of completing the package with Aria.but it gave me such a bad experience. I literally wasted hours of my time to figure this thing out.Only Good point I can remember is that Thanks to this scale, I have a new Wireless Router now !! LOL it was about time anyways.Returning the product. Gonna send a nice review to the support guys as well for their incompetence.

Has serious software and manufacturing defects
DO NOT BUY THIS. FitBit is aware of product issues and will only replace it if it breaks down in the first year of service. Check their Aria community forums to know more. Long story short it very easily becomes a brick when you change batteries.

See update below: Stay away!
Update (Summer 2018)Device went kaput exactly at 2 years. Keeps showing sensor error and does not display weight or anything. When I contacted Fitbit support they said there is no service for this product and I just have to dispose it off since it’s beyond the one year warranty period. I purchased this item for Rs.10k+ and at Rs.5k+ per year this is simply not worth it! Stay awayOriginal Review (27 July 2016)This scale is awesome if you have a fitbit band! I have been using this over 10 months now. Syncs using wifi like a boss. The only problem is, for guest profiles, it does not show body fat percentage.

Great product concept .. But with a manufacturing defect
It worked great for a month ! Really fantastic .. Then after a month it just kept giving me an error, so I went online to see how to solve it and there are thousands of people in help forums that are having the same issue... It is clearly a defect ! I suggest not buying it until the defect is solved. And Fitbit comes up with a new model.

Would recommend to choose some other product
i think it is overpriced, plus the syncing doesn't really get updated on my fitbit app. don't understand why. Also unable to add other users even after sending requests . Again Fitbit has disappointed me

{READ} before buying a Fitbit or an Aria
Fitbit, was really in awe of this company's beautifully designed products. I was willing to buy overpriced products because I love design and value.1. But this weighing scale is overpriced, sold in India without a repair/service center.2. I purchased a weighing scale to do 1 thing above every other fancy features. Give me a weigh-in. ( compared to an Rs 8k Aria basic typical good weighing scale costs ~ Rs 1k)3. The only reason I paid Rs 8k for an Aria is so that it auto-magically syncs with an online account to track all weigh-ins. (that's an additional Rs 7k so that I can track on the Fitbit app)After using the Aria for about 2.5 years now, there is a Error that shows up. No weigh in. Just an error after replacing some batteries. It's funny when you're not moving the weighing scale at all, it remains in one place, unlike a watch or a pair of jeans it remains in one spot. Can't believe a product can just randomly on one day decides to show an ERR symbol after a weigh-in.Fitbit has great communities to try to trouble shoot. Without much help I wrote into the customer support. I was told that they are unable to help any further since my Aria is out of warranty and there is NO WAY to repair the said device I have myself an expensive paper weight folks.Fitbit did not tell me prior or at purchase it that it would stop giving me a weight reading at some point and that would not / cannot be repaired.Dear Fitbit, take back this well designed product and sell it only to those in the USA who can afford the products and get support.

Worst customer service you will ever encounter
Worst customer service you will ever encounter. The product stopped working with the ERR message flashing on screen. If you google this you will find an unbelievable amount of people with the same product and the same issue. The product just stops working for no reason. I tried every 'solution' that Fitbit offer and none of them work - which is the same outcome for everyone else that has had this issue. On contacting Fitbit their response is 'sorry, but its out of warranty so you have to buy a new one'. No attempt to offer a repair or any other solution. Do not buy one.

Like fitbits watches they don’t last long!!
After a year and a half of use the screen stopped working and no longer responds it just lights up with no writing on it. Stay away from Fitbit.I’ve had several replacements of watches for them, their products are poorly made and super expensive. Not worth the material is Made out of.I hereby stop purchasing Fitbit products .

Not Accurate, Waste Of Money
One word for this, rubbish. We've had these scales in the house for nearly a year now and they've been responsible for plenty of tears and upset. So much so they are going in the bin. We've had no problems with network connectivity but they're just not accurate, and by not accurate I mean not even consistently out. One day they are weighing almost a kilo heavier than calibrated scales, the next they are weighing lighter. This is all with multiple readings. I'm not even going in to the fact you have to weigh yourself at least 2, usually 3-4 times to get a settled consistent weight with these scales it's the idea the settled weight isn't accurate is an insult on scales that cost so much.I don't know whether we just got a bad one, I never expected any accuracy from the body fat measurement (the method used is no more than a guess) but for the money I was expecting accurate scales. I would love to know how anybody else has got on testing them against a known good (calibrated) set of scales?

Disappointed...
I am writing this review after more than two years of use. Personally I like the idea and how the scale looks but I have to write the following facts for the people who are considering this:1. There is always a +/- 2-3 kg variation. But if you step on it only once a day, this does not disturb you. That's what we did after figuring this out.2. It is a great idea with the fitness bracelet and etc. but this scale never managed to register the right reading with the right person although me and my wife have a weight difference of about 40 kgs and we are the only registered persons.3. Setting up the scale is a terrible experience and it is the worst user interface you can find on a "smart" scale.4. After more than two years of use, the scale just stopped working. It is telling us to step off until the batteries are dead.5. We contacted the customer service only to get the following recommendation: "Throw it in a suitable dump"So this was our experience...if you want a precise and durable scale, buy one for your nearest supermarket for 15-20 euros and if you need a smart scale, go look somewhere else...

My Aria is now consigned to the garbage! A set of scales is not a consumable ...
This product is not fit for purpose. After only 14 months I have encountered the error reading encountered by thousands as described on the community board after a change of batteries. There is a clear production/manufacturing issue based on this evidence that Fitbit are not accepting liability for by simply stating 'out of warranty'. This speaks volumes about the nature of the brand and the support it is willing to offer. My Aria is now consigned to the garbage! A set of scales is not a consumable product to be replaced every 12 months in my view. Thinking of buying - check the community board first.
