Amazing truck my 4 year old loves it

Bought this for my 8 year old and she loves it, not least because it’s not too difficult to control. So she can perfect this and then, if she wants to, move on to something more elaborate. Comes with 2 batteries which between them last at least 40 minutes of use.

Terrible quality, no packaging, just loose in an amazon box, flimsy thin plastic body (like cheap halloween mask thin) with visible "clips" attached to the chassis, wiring visible, dodgy industrial grade batteries, looks like it has been built in a garage by a hobbiest.

This RC car is fun but I wouldn’t recommend it for people 12+ as it is quite boring to use. It has 2 speeds, fast and slow. The box says it is a high-speed vehicle but it isn't that fast. It also has a LED light strip which is controlled by the click off a button which is a cool feature. It can sometimes spin out and the car only goes if the trigger is pulled fully down so it’s not that easy to control the speed. It has good suspension and a dial on the bottom that fine tunes the steering which is useful if it starts turning inadvertently. The instructions aren't that clear and it took a while to find where the batteries go. Overall it’s a fun car for children 8+ but bigger kids will seek something a bit faster and more fun. Price wise it’s probably slightly too high at £50.

Ok, but not great. This RC car looks the part - the LED lighting makes the car look awesome, but the implementation here is not what I'd expect of a car at this price. The car is full of binary choices - you want to speed up? You can only have all the speed at once - no going slower or controlling speed in an analogue way like I'd expected. You want to turn? You can only go to full lock. This breaks the feeling of driving somewhat and it ends up being a twitchy experience. Our son did still enjoy playing with it..... while it lasted! The batteries don't last very long really and I think this issue is only exacerbated by the fact that motion is basically full throttle. A shame really, it looks good, but has disappointing elements that don't make it worth the price. Bigger batteries and more nuanced motion please!
