This is the only brand of ball that my German shepherd doesn’t destroy within 5 minutes. She loves balls more than life and I’m able to leave this one out for her all of the time. It is well worth the price given its durability.

My dog was not initially attracted to the ball when I played fetch. Left the ball among my dogs toys for several weeks before discovering my dog had rediscovered it and ate it. The flavor of the ball must have caught my dogs attention while I was out. Don’t fault the manufacturer for this, but would advise to put the ball away when not in use.

As dog owners know, balls for dogs are very subjective. I was looking for a "healthier" alternative to the Hartz bacon balls. While at home my dog will chase these or chew on them occasionally. The scent seems more chemical than it should. Also the balls are too dense . Think a LAX ball but heavier. They seem super durable but so do rocks. More of a chew toy than a ball.

We gave the playology dual layer ball to my daughter's dog. It was a huge hit - the bacon scent and durability of the ball was excellent. I have ordered this more than once (beef scent was also a favorite).
