He's amazed that it has the same time as the house clock. Go figure. He really likes it. It doesn't do anything but tell the time, but it's cute, good price. The button to set the time is painful, but you should only need to do it once per battery. The metal box it comes in may be worth more to your kid in the long run than the watch. I wish it had a velcro band instead of a buckle, but I found very few velcro band watches for some reason. Good purchase.

I believe quality assurance is not essential to the watchmaker. Perhaps they wanted to keep the cost lower. I bought this watch for my son. On the second day, my son says, "Daddy, I can't read the time." I started to do some investigation, and I notice that if I slight tap the back of the watch the time comes back and then it goes out. Every time this happened, the time would reset, and then you had to program it again. I tried to open it, but I did not have the proper screw set to get the screw's off. I told my son we go to the near mall and have a watch repairman take a look at it. The watch repairman was able to open the watch and fix the loose connector to the battery, and I did another test, and the problem went away. It is an excellent price for this watch, but you have to pay someone to fix that issue which could have been resolved by the manufacturer. Because of that, I am giving it a two-star.

This watch has a problem where it shorts out and disconnects from the battery. It constantly resets the time. The first one I bought, I had to retirement and get a second one, because I thought that that one it was malfunctioning or defective. We are on the second one now and it does the same exact thing. If you have a young child who's learning to tell time and who gets frustrated easily, this is not the watch for you!
