Word Hero Paperback – 4 October 2011

This book is extremely insightful and well written. The thing is you need to read it slowly; there’s a lot of ideas on each page and they’re all worth learning and applying. The book really lives up to the title (sometimes a rare thing these days) so I appreciate the authors hard work and wisdom.

I bought it as a paperback and then I bought it as ebook -- that's how instructive and useful this book is. If you want to surge beyond the pack of purple prosers, if you want to write right, if you want to love writing again, get this book and use it.

Während Heinrich den Leser mit "Thank you for Arguing" (Vorgängerbuch) erfolgreich fit für Streitgespräche mit Kollegen, Kindern und Chefs gemacht hat, richtet sich "Word Hero" an Rhetorikfans, Sprachbastler, Redenschreiber, Wohnzimmer-Demagogen und Puristen. An Menschen also, die Stilfiguren nicht nur erkennen und benutzen sondern auch korrekt benennen wollen. "Word Hero" funktioniert als Nachschlagewerk ebenso wie als S-Bahnlektüre.Über den Blog [...] bekommt man ein Gefühl dafür, wie unterhaltsam Heinrich schreibt.Ich hoffe, Heinrich findet einen deutschen Verleger und vor allem einen exzellenten Übersetzer, der den Wortwitz des Autors kreativ übertragen kann.
