Nice product, Reasonable price.
Just upgraded to ryzen from previous fx series. Although it is from 1st generation but better than fx at least. Of course 2nd & 3rd generation ryzens are more efficient/powerful. However, it can be overclocked to 3.7ghz easily with a B450 motherboard, fast RAM and stock cooler, to get similar performance. Besides, this would be the cheapest 6 core 12 thread processor. When compared with price to performance (comparing to other ryzen processors from 1st generation) it is should be a logical choice. Go for it only if you already have or willing to buy a dedicated graphics card. Without a dedicated GPU your pc wont boot to display screen. If a dedicated graphics card is not in the list then opt for 2200g, 3200g, 2400g etc.........Update: No lag at all. No bottlenecks when gaming. Using a coolermaster hyper 212 instead of stock cooler. Now I can overclock even further (that doesnt mean stock cooler isnt efficient). Stock wraith cooler is great but I like to overclock and test the limits of this CPU. Hence using an aftermarket cooler. Temperature doesnt climb beyond 65 degrees when put under heavy load. Overall worth the money and effort.

Hell of a CPU
i bought this CPU in September 2017. Today is 9th April 2018. 7 months of me using it have been nothing but great. First of all, my complete PC specs:AMD Ryzen 5 1600,ASUS Strix B350-f gaming,2x8GB GskillTrident Z RGB RAM 3000 MHz,Zotac Geforce GTX 1060 6GB,Seasonic M12ii520,Samsung evo 750 250GB SSD,WD Blue 500GB SSD, 3x1TB HDD (WD+Hitachi),Coolermaster masterbox lite 5 RGBI have not yet overclocked the CPU as honestly, I havent felt the need to. If I ever upgrade to a 144 Hz monitor, then I will OC the CPU. For now, I am getting amazing performance for the 75 Hz monitor that I have. I am getting more than 60 FPS average on every game I have played till now. DOOM, GTA V, Witcher 3, Far cry 4, Destiny 2 etc. All settings set to ultra. I keep the nVidia gameworks off though because only those are the settings that kill the FPS and don't result in much better eye candy. My ambient temps are 22 to 28 degrees celsius. My CPU has never gone above 55 degrees celsius while gaming. One reason for that is that this CPU is not being utilized very much by games. And, when I run, e.g. AIDA or prime95, the CPU temps never even touch 65. That on the stock cooler with all cores working at 100%. AMD is NOT HOT guys. Do not let the fools fool you. When I edit a full HD video, I am able to export a one hour long video in half an hour flat. Full HD, not compressed. Resulting video size: ~18GB That is one helluva performance, man.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 is good enough for your utility
Most important thing i want to share with you. This processor is best, but it will give you great performance when you built right compatible components together, its not about processor, its about how you built your PC according to your need. Processor works according to your need.I am AMD biggest lover, because it give best specification in budget instead other brandBut i am giving reviews after using it, not as loverNo heating issue in processor. For multiple task i will recommend this processor. Not only for beginners it is very also useful for professionals.

Amazing cpu for 7500
Got an 8 core cpu rather 6 core as mentioned . Getting over 3000 score in cinebench r20 , gaming is good on this cpu but its editing where it flies and works like a charm . It generally consumes 80 watts max on 100% all core usage and the included cooler performs really well under load . Check out my channel on YouTube , Gamerbourne.

Great Processor with 6 Cores, 12 Threads & 19MB totall Cache
Really great Processor with 6 Cores 12 Threads & 19MB total Cache, 14nm Architecture & 65W TDP, we can compare this 1st Gen Ryzen from Intel 8th Gen i5 8700, same features. There is not inbuilt graphics so we will have to install a PCI Express Card. Great performance in Gaming, Graphics, Animation & Editing. You can do 4K editing work with this. In mid budget this can a great choice for powerful Desktop.

WORTH IT!
YUP. Its worth it!!with the prices of the first gen of ryzen processors falling down, this is a great deal.keep in mind from the 1500X to ryzen 1700, gaming performance is the SAME. No difference. the difference comes in video editing and other rendering applications. so if you just want to game and nothing else, start with 1500X and youll save yourself some money.I paired my ryzen with an RX 580. All AMD fanboy here.

Good processor ! Dedicated GPU is needed for display!
I am giving 3 star for value for money, because in offline market it is cheaper. For gaming I haven't tried yet. I'll update later based on gaming performance of this cpu.Apart from that packing and delivery was good. Came before expected delivery date.I am using msi b450 gaming plus matx with this cpu. This cpu don't have any inbuilt graphics. So a GPU is must with this cpu. Otherwise you will not get any display. For me msi b450 gaming plus was given 3beep sound and vga light was on in ez debug. I thought it was motherboard board problem. Then msi service centre told me about the problem. It got fixed after installing a GPU.
