Impressive Mini PC (UPDATED REVIEW)
UPDATE 2: after contiunally trying, I was able to revive Windows 11 using a System Restore (although it took three attempts). The Windows system seems to be running fine and of course the dual booted Linux Mint 21.3 is bulletproof and runs beautifully as usual. The only reason I have needed Windows is because of Acrobat Pro's ability to manipulate PDF files. This experience has forced me to research Linux alternatives. Although there's no one app that does it all like Acrobat Pro, Linux has a suite of tools that easily can perform the same including Okular, Xournal++, PDFarranger, Krop, and PDF Densify (LibreOffice Draw has manipulation features as well). This Beelink SER7 7840HS mini is very good, no regrets (again).UPDATE 1: after 2 weeks, the PC renders the Windows blue screen of death. At first rendering a STOP CODE of "Critical Process Died" and after many restarts and trying multiple methods to revive, it rendered a "Bad System Config Info" STOP CODE. I tried every method offered to repair the problem with no luck. I had to install Linux Mint 21.3 to have a working PC. Is my issue a Windows 11 Pro problem or a Beelink customized Win 11 Pro problem? Not sure.ORIGINAL 5-Stat REVIEW: I have had three prior minis including two i7 NUCs and an n97 Kamrui model and all have been pretty good although all suffered from some glitches. This Beelink SER7 Ryzen 7 7840HS mini PC is pretty impressive. The build quality is very good, the specs are hard to beat on any PC, and the real world performance meets expectations. The UEFI interface works as expected (not all of these rushed to the market mini PCs can make that claim) and should allow for a Linux implementation without issue (my next project). The mini comes with Win 11 Pro and the only glitch I ran into is that the Microsoft Store app was missing and needed to be restored in order to use MS apps like the calculator and Notepad. To fix this issue, execute wsreset.exe in the CMD line (Win key + R) and wait 30 seconds for the the MS Store to reinstall. Otherwise, an impressive PC.

Small and fast
The small size, fast processor and easy setup we're just what I needed for a pc based navigation system on my sailboat. I loaded this with Timezero navigator and is working well.

Beats the Cr** out of the Minisforum UM690. Just buy the SER7 and Carry On.
The Beelink Ryzen 7 SER7 is a boss. It is everything I hoped for performance-wise with no nasty surprises.I've been using the SER7 since purchasing it on a Black Friday deal. The SER7 is true to it's specs, and it runs quiet and cool for it's form factor. I push it hard with 4K and 360 video editing with no issues. For reference, I preordered a Minisforum UM690 as soon as it was announced. By the four month mark the UM690 got extremely glitchy and would shut down with the solid green screen of death to the point it was useless. Lots of things could have been the culprit but heat was definitely one of the main issues. The UM690 is known for having terrible cooling which is why inside of a year Minisforum released an updated version called the UM690S. After about a week Minisforum support finally answered my email and advised me to bump down memory and other performance settings. The situation did not improve and after having been burned on the UM690 I was not about to entertain another Minisforum product, not to mention why would I want to continue using a machine that even if it was working properly had to be throttled down in performance to do so?I don't know if the UM690S fixed the known issues of the UM690 but my experience with the SER7 is such that I would not even consider another Minisforum AMD based mini PC. Because of my positive experience with the SER7 I also bought a SER5 for the household and it has also been great with no issues- it is a tremendous mini PC when good performance on a budget is a consideration.

Lasted 8 months then video died
Worked great until one day boots to a black screen. Will work in safe mode or with video card drivers removed (using basic windows video driver) which is the sign of a video card gone bad. Warranty purchased from Amazon does not help since failure occurred during manufacturer warranty period. Manufacturers website beyond slow and apparently device needs to be sent to China, on my dime, for repairs. Would love to have someone from the company contact me to discuss options. Would not recommend.

Perfect for my needs
I moved from the Apple walled garden back to PC for several reasons not pertinent to this review. I find the various BeeLink computers I have purchased to be great values for the money spent. They are well packaged, easy to set up, and are NOT bogged down with a ton of "craplications", aka bloatware. For you gamers, I am not sure if this will work for you; it is not some firebreathing monster with water cooled processors and the like; it is just a computer. But, for those wanting to run, say, the Microsoft 365 office suite, or do a bit of program compiling, this computer should do the trick.UPDATE 4/28/24: I downgraded this computer to four stars for one reason that, for me, is an annoyance. The USB A connectors are inverted. This renders rthe use of some accessories either difficult or impossible. An example of the latter is aftermarket fingerprint readers. TO THE FOLKS AT BEE-LINK: please change this on future machines! Thank you.

Fantastic mini pc once I reinstalled windows
The hardware is second to none. This pc really packs a punch for the size. The only issue I had was I couldn't install certain game clients like steam or roblox as they would have installation errors. Beelink tech support wasn't much help as they blamed the installation package so I finally found the answer on Reddit which said to do a Windows 11 update with repair action and it worked like a champ after that. I absolutely love this mini too much to ding the rating for this issue but it's definitely something I wish their tech support was knowledgeable about.

Great little PC
I have two in my house and one at the grand parents house. All three work great. Do yourself a favor and change the fan settings in the bios to make the fans come on a bit earlier than default. These units get hot and the default settings are a bit low. Powerful enough to drive 4k Monitors and TVs, and play light games.

Quiet, small, efficient
I haven't thrown a ton of gaming processing at this unit yet. Still, it has handled concurrently having three browsers, with 26 tabs open, while managing an Android emulator, among other graphic programs, etc. I have no complaints about its horse power. It has been an excellent and tidy replacement for my desktop.

Wow, Small Powerful Mini PC!
After being asked to build a PC for a client I stumbled upon this Mini PC and thought she only needs something that is fast, small and does the basic things like watching Videos, Word Documents and Email. Seeing this on sale and that it offered AMD components which I like I sprung at it and wow I'm impressed! For such a small price it's packed with excellent features and even comes with Win11 ready to go! The process was painless and easy to be honest!I ran a CPU/GPU stress test on it right away it went for hours without a hiccup and even as hot as it got there was barely a noise! Solid! In reference to the unit I bought it was the AMD Ryzen 5 5560U with 16Gigs of ram and the 500Gig Hard drive. Just enough in it for most everything a user can need these days. There's both a Display Port and HDMI cable included but I did purchase a longer 10 foot Display Port cable before hand. You really can't beat this power house for price and performance, it's a very good value!

Good all around PC
I have had it for a month now and so far so good. I purchased one of the lower end CPU's but it suits my needs fine. Good value!

Very powerful computer.
Lives up to advertised expectations with respect to hardware though I have yet to really test it. One disappointment was provision of Windows 11 without "bloatware". This included absence of some useful apps such as the calculator and character map, and most significantly Microsoft Store which is required to install or re-activate those apps. Re-installing Microsoft Store is not straightforward and took a lot of trouble and time.
