Went on very easy but I used pure dish soap to make sure I had no problems then rinsed the soap out the best I could and let them dry. After that there are great, super comfortable and stay put on the old grips, cut vibration way down and are easier to hang on to because they are gripier on gloves or bare hands. Just took a couple rides to get used to the thicker grip but I like them better.

I'm so glad I did
I was considering new grips for my bike ('05 BMW R1200GS) because the factory grips flat out hurt my giant hands, but I opted to go with these instead based on several recommendations. I'm so glad I did! They're significantly more comfortable (no hand fatigue or pain after a 350 mile ride) than the original gear, don't slip around or twist on the grips, provide plenty of traction for my leather gloves, and work just fine with heated grips. Worth every penny and more. I wish they came as factory equipment on bikes!

I went online and found that people had better luck using straight dish soap
The first set I bought I tore the first grip while I was trying to install it on the throttle grip. I followed the instructions but it did not even come close to going on. I went online and found that people had better luck using straight dish soap. It eventually went on but it took ten minutes of fighting with it. I duct taped on the clutch side grip until my second set arrived about ten minutes ago. This time, I applied a liberal amount of dish soap to the clutch grip and the grip puppy. It went on in about 6 seconds! I have ridden with the grip puppies on (clutch side duct taped on) and liked the way they felt. My hands were definitely more relaxed and, YES, I could feel the heated grips thru the puppies albeit the heat was not as hot as prior. However, my heated grips can cook bacon on the light-medium setting (#2 of 5). Even on "low" (1 of 5), I could feel the heat coming thru. I know I will enjoy them especially on longer rides.

Can't ride without them!
Previous owner of my motorcycle had these on here, and after about 6 months they split down the middle (I have no idea how long he had them prior to me buying). When I took them off, my hands hurt after about 30 min. of riding. These are sooo good!!! Very easy to put on with soap & water like the packaging says.

Happy 1200GS owner
Got a new 1200GS, found the grips to be just a bit too skinny to my liking. Installed these puppies pretty quick (involves some slight cutting to fit). As others mentioned, they go on real easy with just a bit of soapy water. I immediately found the new grip diameter to be much more pleasing.I've now down about a dozen hours on the bike with the puppies installed, and am quite pleased. Highly suggest to anyone that wants a more pleasing grip.My only complaint is that they do definitely dampen the impact of heated grips. On level 1 of heating, it takes at least twice as long for the heat to come through, and it's just a whisper of what I'm used to. At level 2 of heating, it shows up faster, but not as strong. I think this will overall still be OK, though I imagine if someone did a ton of very cold weather riding, they might remove the puppies for the winter months.

I've used Grip Puppies for years and always found them ...
I've used Grip Puppies for years and always found them to work well. I have an extremely large hand for my size and get cramps in my hands from the hard-as-rock stock rubber grips that come on most bikes (current bike is a 2014 Yamaha FJR1300ES), so I use the Grip Puppies to increase the size of the grips. The only hassle is getting the grips to slide on without tearing them. I've found the easiest way is to spray the stock grips with a soapy water solution, but use straight liquid dish soap on the inside of the Grip Puppies, rub it all over to coat the inside, then carefully using your fingernail if necessary put the Grip Puppy over the bottom edge of the stock grip all the way around, then take a DRY rag or towel and use it to grip the Grip Puppy and slide it forward onto to the stock grip by working it back and forth. It will slip right on. The key is the Dry rag or towel and straight dish soap, otherwise your hand will get wet and slippery from the water and soap and you will have a hard time sliding them on. One step forward, one step back
I'm guessing people with different size hands will get different results. My glove is a Large so I think my hands are average size. The good: The grip covers do a great job of eliminating vibration on my liter sportbike. The cushion feels more pleasant than the stock grips. The bad: My hands no longer fall asleep during longer rides but the added material makes the grips so "fat" that my hands now cramp up and ache after riding.I think I prefer the bothersome tingling over the aching hands so I'm going to remove them.I rode 4 hours today. That was six hours ago and my hands and wrists still hurt.

Good item - just not for everyone.
Item exactly as described. I bought these to help with grip fatigue / hand numbness for my 60-mile (each way) commute.Long story short, my average (glove size L) hands are not big enough to appreciate these grip slip-ons. The added girth they provide is too much in comparison to the added sponginess I had hoped for. While they are doable with my warm weather gloves, my hands get crampy when wearing thicker, cold weather gloves.I have nothing against the Grip Puppies -- they just don't work for me, personally.

Easy to fit and make the handlebar grip nice and chunky
I am very impressed by these Grip Puppies.I bought then as i have quite large hands and the standard grips on my W800 felt too skinny, vibrations weren't worrying me but it felt like my hands wrapped around the grips too much. These over-grips were very easy to fit, I soaked them in hot water and wiped tiny amount of washing up liquid over the original grips and slid them on. The over-grips are tight but with the lubrication they went on smoothly. The handlebars are now much chunkier then originally and are mush more comfortable for me to hold. What a good idea these Grip Puppies are.

Ciao.Andrea
