The safe was easy to install, at least with a professional handyman doing the job, and easy to program and get working. Opens with either a digital code or a key. Nice low profile, so easily concealed behind a painting. It needed an extra piece of 2x4 to anchor it to the wall stud on one side as it is narrower than the standard US stud space. It came missing the small plastic snap on piece that normally covers the key hole but their customer service was responsive in getting that to me after the fact.

Could use better instructions regarding cutting the hole in the drywall where the safe fits. Once I figured that out the installation went fairly well. The safe is heavy duty and should serve our purpose.

The ad says the frame is 16.5" wide. The one sent is only 14 11/16ths" across the frame. The ad also says the safe, "Our wall safe fits very well between studs that are on 16” centers." so what did I receive? The frame is too wide to fit between the studs and the safe is only 14" wide leaving a half inch space to contend with. The ad also shows the height of the inner safe at 31.5" verses the 30.5" it actually is which I could forgive but won't. I need it to fit between the studs and the frame to overlap the studs by something more than an eighth inch on each side. They get one star for a quick response that said, "we have asked the factory and actually measured, our safes are basically around 14 inches in width, sorry we don't have the safe in the size you need,"! They also did a very quick turn around on a return for refund so one more star. Other than deceptive measurements of the product in their ad the safe seemed very sturdy and was packaged well so if you have something other than standard wall dimensions or open new construction it could work for you. I should take a star off for having to wrestle with a heavy box and getting it to UPS but a little grace goes a long way. Just be warned it is like most of the other safes I researched where the reviews all said the measurements are not correct for most standard wall widths.

Exactly what we were looking for. Decent build quality, instructions were easy enough (if you'll even need them), and great value. One problem I did run into is the studs were SLIGHTLY too close. Whoever built our home put the 2x4s on 15.75 inch centers, at least for this particular spot. I used an oscillating blade and it was an easy fix.

What a disappointment. The safe was missing installation directions, operating instructions, and a lag bolt. The installation looked fairly straightforward but we had no idea how to set the codes. We searched online for directions and instructions and even tried to contact the manufacturer. No luck. We were told that the only option was to package it up and return it. The safe appeared to be well made but it wound up being a complete waste of time.

Ok I keep it but it is not16” wide so had to patch the wall
