Cable Matters Punch Down Tool with 110 & 66 Blade, RJ45 Ethernet Punch Tool, Keystone Punchdown Tool for Cat 8, Cat 7, Cat 6A, Cat 6, Cat 5e, Cat 5 Network

This is my first time making my own Ethernet cables, and this tool is amazing. I've had no issues using it on Cat6a cables, which are non-shielded but fire-resistant and made for inside walls. I've also used it on Cat5e patch panels, which worked great.

Works well

I've used well known brand name punch down tools for years and after misplacing my kit tool I figured I'd save some money by ordering the Cable Matters tool as the old one would reappear once this was delivered. Well, the Cable Matters arrived and my old one is still missing but I like this new one so much I don't care.Simply put: Good solid punch down tool, very good blades and convenient picks at a good price. Win Win.

It is simple, sturdy, most importantly does what it is ment to do, with ease.

Good quality, has both bits and one fits in the top of the handle. Sturdy product.

While a bit pricey (especially compared to the little free plastic punches that are often included with bags of cat6 jacks), this thing is built to last. I got it because my last cheap plastic piece of garbage final broke. This thing will never break. The cutting blade isn't perfect (none of the wires were completely cut) but with just a few jiggles of the wire with my fingers, the extra wire snapped right off very cleanly.

Works like any other punch down tool I've used. Feels very sturdy and well built. It works just fine for the few times a year I'll use it.
