Well, I think this first picture tells what I think about these rainbow pencils! They are comfortable to write with. They are really smooth writing pencils. They do not have any harshness or "lag" to them that some other colored pencils do. You don't even have to push hard when using them. They just glide across the paper! They all have a different rainbow pattern to them when they write, which is pretty cool. These are just really cool pencils.I saw that others said they had problems sharpening these pencils and they would always break and not sharpen. I didn't have this issue at all! In fact, they sharpened very well. I included 2 pictures to show the difference between the way the pencils came in the box (the red pencil) and what they looked like after I sharpened them (the blue pencil). And it did not "eat up" the pencils and reduce their size. I do, always use one of the newer hand cranked pencil sharpeners that stop sharpening when the pencil has a good point. I never use electric pencil sharpeners, even when I sharpen regular pencils. They just work best for pencils, especially for colored pencils.Great pencils that I know are going to bring rainbow happiness to my students! lol

I was so excited to get these pencils and at first they wrote beautifully but once the tip duled and that was about 30 seconds after first writing with them the crayon inside broke every time I tried to sharpen one. I thought ok maybe it is the pencil sharpener I was using so I tried several more. I have tried 10 different pencil sharpeners so far with no success. They are impossible to sharpen without breaking. I have been through the entire pack and not one has sharpened successfully without breaking. I love the fact they are mood changing and the colors they produced when I first used them was beautiful but I am so very disappointed in the quality. So if you want to get them and never use them then they are perfect to just look pretty but as far as funcutality, they are very disappointing.
