Better than advertised
My wife loved this as a gift. It keeps either your favorite cheese block or butter stick fresh, easy to access and even slices it to your desired portions. Perfect for that late night cheese/grapes and cracker snack. Ordering 3 more as gifts for others.

Not as tall as advertised
I was pretty excited about my new kitchen gadget, but both shapes of 2 lb cheese blocks won't fit in here without cutting a third off either one. The square block should have fit, but the item I received is only 3 inches tall, not 4 inches as advertised. It is 8 inches long though. The quality seems pretty good on it, but having to cut a block of cheese to fit it in there (and find a home for the rest) really defeats the point for me.

Too small
Too small for the cheese that I wanted it for. Bought the smaller one to fit inside. Liked the cutting blade, but don't use it because it is too small.
