I like that they are just pictures so the versatility in the usage is flexible. My class uses them to create stories, sort, practice CVC, and more.

I bought these magnets, as well as a CCVC and CVCC set, to use in my K-2 classroom. You can use them in so many ways. I have been using them in small groups, for students that are working on the alphabetic principal, phonemic awareness, and writing CVC words. I first have students pull out a magnet from a bucket, name it, then we listen for a target sound in the word (beginning, middle, end, or all three). For my kindergarteners, we have been listening for the first sound, then sorting the magnets by matching to an ABC chart. For my first graders, we have been reviewing hearing all the sounds in a CVC word, then writing it out using Elkonin boxes. After students have learned the activity in small groups, it can easily be made into a reading center. The magnetic quality makes them easy to use on magnetic whiteboards and with magnetic letters.My only complaint is that they did not come with a reusable storage container, so you will have to buy something to store the magnets in.

I love these for my speech room. They have perfect words for categories, matching, descriptions and associations. I use them on my white board and it helps keep the kids engaged. The magnets themselves are mounted on a stiff foam that makes them easy for little fingers to pick off the white board and move around. I’ve gotten all 3 sets

These magnets are great to use to have students identify first, middle and/or last letter sounds in CVC words. It is nice that they are magnetic because they stick on magnetic white boards. I would recommend these.
