Works for a mirror ball
Needed to replace the motor in an older style ADJ mirror ball motor assembly. This worked great! It does spin the ball kinda quick at 5-6 RPM. I would suggest getting slower

Good motor for the price, RANDOM START DIRECTION! (NORMAL, SEE BELOW)
This is a nice little motor for things like microwave turntables and the like.This AC motor, BY DESIGN does not have a single direction, fine for things like stirring, MICROWAVE TURNTABLES, or other use where same START direction each time is irrelevant.Why? - It has to do with it being an AC motor, so when the power is supplied it goes in whatever part of the AC wave it is in; positive half or negative half. ONCE IT STARTS IT'S THE SAME DIRECTION, it doesn't "oscillate" but which direction is random at STARTUP.The fit and finish is good, it has a rather nice quality cord and switch, they even supply a cool quick connect terminal that can be screwed down for stability.Overall, a nice product that works as designed.

Great little kit
This is a great little starter kit for playing with synchronous motors. The synchronous motor will turn one way when powered on for a while then turned off for a while it will start turning the opposite way once it is powered back on. This kit was easy to use. I wasn't sure about the quick connector, but it actually held the wires pretty tight. I put them in and then pulled on them pretty good and they didn't come out. The cord was easy to strip and attach also. It is nice to have a connector with set screws so that something can be attached to the motor with ease.

So many uses!!
The media could not be loaded. The synchronous motor has endless possibilities of what you can do with it!! I would highly recommend it for projects, it's literally plug and play, Solid construction quiet which is a plus and I ended up using mine for a Halloween prop spider that would come out from under a bench and it freaked out the trick or treaters which is a win!! I have no complaints!!
