Good quality & finish
Great item! Looks very nice and good finition. Magnet when pieces are out and very helpful drawer to put the pieces on when not playing. Would recommend.

A Delight to Own!
Absolutely beautifully crafted chess board and pieces! It looks very expensive and is an absolute bargain! So beautifully made! Crafted storage drawers with foam fitted inserts so all the pieces fit snuggly away; and non-magnetic chequers/drafts pieces as a bonus! Chess pieces are magnetic so they don't slide off. It's a delight to own! I NEVER write reviews but went straight on to write this one because I was so bowled over by this product!

Good quality finish and useful storage of pieces
Really happy with this purchase. I didn't want a foldable one since kids would be using it so wear and tear on it wouldn't have been good long term. The pieces are really nice, good finish classical look. I think the storage with cut out slots is probably one of the best features as it would be easy to identify if a piece went missing and also prevents it from rattling about when moving it around. Happy overall with this however I can potentially see the felt coming off some of the pieces, but its still early days and I'm sure a bit of glue would easily fix this.

Nice set, looks good, chess pieces are nicely crafted.
It’s a good chess set, the pieces are wooden and very nicely crafted (some kits have really janky pieces with rough edges and overcut joints)The chess pieces are magnetic, but I was disappointed to find that the checkers pieces are not; this is upsetting because I specifically bought a *magnetic* chess and checkers set. I’m thinking about drilling out the underside of each piece and gluing magnets in there to make the set function properly.The drawers are nicely lined with a cutout that holds all the pieces securely but the drawers are simple slide-in design which tends to go off course and get stuck quite easily. Rubbing some silicone wax along the sides has helped this problem.

Outstanding
After looking through any chessboard set I finally chose this one and I’m happy I did.I purchased this for me sons 12th birthday and he’s extremely happy with it, able to play both chess and checkers.The magnetic chess piece are brilliant along with the draws in which all the pieces fit perfectly.The quality of the board and pieces is excellent can’t be more happier.

Looks better in real life than the pictures show.
The pictures on Amazon don't do it enough justice it's far nicer when you see it in person, the knights look better than the pictures show as well, it's a very Nice looking compact Chess and draught's set Perfect for a Gift, the magnets can hold the pieces at a 90 degree angle so very good for car journeys even if you Roll the car by accident, no pieces will be lost .... lolPerfect for children and adults from 7 up as long as theyve been taught right. ie not to put pieces in your mouth.
