The cover has a smooth, soft touch. It includes an elastic band to help keep your place, as well as two additional ribbons that can be used as page markers. It comes with a pen in the pen holder. The pen holder can hold different size pens. I have a big branded pen from Vistaprint in there and it fits. The notebook also comes with sticker tabs for each month and has pockets inside. It lays flat when you open it which is great for notekeeping. Overall, it's a great notebook, and I'm glad I ordered it.

Nice look and feel, clean embossing on the cover and good thick pages that aren't flimsy. I like that it has 2 ribbons and an elastic band to keep it closed and I love the in spine pen storage.
