The SMALLRIG Magic Arm Clamp Kit is an incredibly versatile tool for any content creator. 1 The articulating arm offers a wide range of movement, allowing you to position your camera or other equipment at virtually any angle. 2 The super clamp provides a secure grip on a variety of surfaces, making it easy to mount your setup anywhere.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very neat magic arm with a clamp. There is no size which is usually given, so I measured it and it's 9.5". It also weighs c.350g.The clamp is very impressive - it has triangular friction blocks, which work amazingly on flat surfaces like tables. It can also be attached to rails of course and there is all necessary protective cushioning included.The rest of the arm is based on a single-lock mechanism, with the controlling knob located half-way. This makes the set very quick to adjust, but requires time to get used to it and getting the ‘feel’ for the lock. First thing that locks as you tighten the knob is the lock between the arms. Then follow both ball heads and at the end the metal rings around them, that allow for additional twisting around. It's important to remember that, as it may give the false impression that the set is securely locked, when in fact it isn't.The arm has quite a decent load capacity of 1.5kg. It's mainly designed for lighter equipment such as smaller lights, monitors, cameras or action cameras. It even comes with an adapter for the last one.The maximum width of the clamp is 5cm, which is quite impressive for such a small set.Magic arms are brilliant and very useful devices for all sorts of photography. This one has an all-metal design (including the knobs) and looks very stylish. It's also very portable and quick to set up and adjust. This is a great quality magic arm with a clamp one end. One important note, the clamp is not removable, so it’s only suitable for clamping something like a monitor or small camera for example, you can’t just use it as a normal magic arm!But that aside, it’s great. The magic arm is very secure, when you tighten the knob it doesn’t move at all, and feels so much better quality than old smallrig magic arms I’ve owned - they’ve clearly come a long way in improving quality! I’d feel comfortable clamping 1ft tube lights with it, as well as very small cameras and things like 7 inch monitors. The actual clamp end is rubberised so very grippy, and goes wider than you’d expect, so you can clamp to fairly large surfaces, such as most doors, desks, shelves etc., making it very versatile.

I ordered this mount to hold my camera in a good position on the table for taking photos for Amazon reviews and sales listings hopefully making the pictures look more professional.This is a solid piece of kit! The mount comes with a good set of instructions which makes setting up straight forward. Once attached to the desk the arm is very versatile and can be positioned easily in exactly the position required. Once in position the mount feels very stable. I am looking forward to taking some more professional photos with this rig.Whist I will be mainly using this mount at home due to the compact size and relative lightweight of the item (under 400g) this is very portable and could easily be taken with you in a camera bag or backpack for use when out and about.A strong and versatile camera mount. Recommended.

The build quality is excellent. The arm and clamp are sturdy and well-made, ensuring my equipment stays in place without any wobbling or slipping.
