They're okay. Nothing special. Volume control is extremely LOUD!
The media could not be loaded. I bought these because they had the NOAA weather function. Unfortunately they don't receive very well. We have 2 NOAA transmitters nearby, neither one comes in well enough to hear anything.Now onto the unexpected problem, the volume control on these is nearly out of control. It has what is pressumably level 0 (muted), but it's not muted. On level 0 you can hear things at a comfortable quiet level. The other 8 levels of sound; level 1 is very loud and the rest are extremely loud to the point of useless. It's so loud it hurts your ears and is extremely distorted. I'm not happy about the way this works. It goes from 0 to 100mph in one click and that doesn't seem correct.As far as everything else on the radio, all seems to be working normally otherwise. I don't see anything special about these other than USB charging compared to a pair of old Uniden FRS radios from 2005.
