Produce Keeper, 3-Quart – Stay-Fresh Vent System for Small Peppers and Tomatoes, BPA-Free

I bought these a few years ago, mainly for food prep in advance. I keep my prepped veggies in the container and love how easy it is to pre prep, store, and stack the containers so I can see what I have. I bought some of those green bags, and yes they work but I can't see what I have nor does it use the refrigerator space as well. Prepping for another surgery, and decided this will be the best way to handle prepping fruits and veggies for easy meals.

If you pay attention to the guidelines for humidity and airflow, they work great. I buy cherries a lot during the warmer months, and these containers make them last long enough for me to eat them all. I have also noticed that they help my salad greens and other produce stay fresh longer.

I love these little containers. It has a list of different fruits and veggies on the top of the lid that tell you which foods you should vent and which ones you should keep air tight . The gray handles on either side of the container flip down and open to vent your food or you can keep them up for air tight storage. They wash up really well. Super sturdy. I’m sure they would be dishwasher safe. They come with a little tray that snaps on the bottom that holds extra liquid that might drip through the vents. They are vented on the bottom, which I like. You can rinse your food right in the tray. No complaints. I love these little containers.

Like most everyone, I struggle with keeping vegetables fresh for any length of time. This Produce Keeper solves that problem. This container has vents on the side & an attached tray for water that together provide an environment that will keep certain vegetables fresh MUCH longer than I have been able to previously. The top is a vacuum type seal but is very easy to open and close. The bottom tray comes off the main compartment and is held on securely by snapping the pieces together. There is a "cheat guide" on the lid that tells you which vegetables you should use a tablespoon (or two) of liquid in the bottom of the container and which vegetables to have the side vents open/closed on. Being a ProKeeper, it is of superior quality. It comes apart and goes back together easily and can all be cleaned in the dishwasher. A couple of times, I have forgotten that I put water in the bottom and have spilled the water onto my counter but that is my own mistake. Also, I do wish they made this in a larger & smaller size as well. This size is perfect for lettuce or longer veg. One a bit larger would be ideal for being able to prep large salads & keep the ingredients fresh through the week and a smaller size would be better for any individual prechopped veg. Otherwise, this is as easy to use as any other food container and is a great value at this price. I will absolutely be adding a couple more to my stock for times when I do not have fresh garden vegetables handy and have to rely on purchasing and keeping larger volumes fresh.

These keep produce fresh way longer — my ginger lasted a whole month in one. Seriously recommend them.

As a private chef I buy a lot of produce besides for myself. If you store your veggies in compostable bags from the market your veggies will also begin to compost so these are an absolute must. Everything I put in them keeps them fresh for at least a week minimum. I recommend them to all my clients, family and friends.

I purchased a couple sets when Costco sold them. I use them all the time and enjoy all sizes small for berries, this size for celery, green onions etc. Large for lettuce and grapes. It keeps produce fresh longer.
