Dishwasher Salt Helps Soften Water to Prevent Limescale and Watermarks, 2 KG

I’ve had four different dishwashers over the years and having this feature for the first time I can see what I was missing. I didn't know that my dishwasher needed salt until I bought my new Bosch dishwasher. The technician told me that my water was too hard, and he showed me on his meter and highly recommended that I buy dishwasher salt. Well, my dishes never looked better. Now, I'm wondering if my other dishwasher failed because I didn't use the salt with my hard water. I have a water filtration system, but the water was still too hard, so I highly recommend that if your dishwasher has a salt dispenser to test your water and use this if needed. My glasses sparkle like never before.

My new Bosch dishwasher has a built-in water softener. I’d never heard of such a thing. Just like my whole-house water softener, it uses salt to backwash the resin filter that removes the hard water minerals. But why is this salt so expensive? 4.4 pounds for $17? 50 pounds of salt for my whole-house softener is about $7. Since my water is already softened, I’ve set the Bosch softener to it’s lowest setting.

It’s not easy to find this locally but it works great in our Bosch dishwasher.
