I like both equally for different reasons. DK's book opens with color pages, like a textbook, with very basic general knowledge of the human body. Then it's broken up into sections: The Body, Skeletal System, Muscular, Nervous System, Respiratory System, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic & Immune Systems, Digestive, Endocrine, Urinary, and Reproductive System. Within each section things are broken down into smaller subjects. A brief example, in the Skeletal System, pages are then devoted to Head and Neck, the Skull, Spine, Hip & Leg, Knee, etc. Before each main section there are colored pages with explanations of how things work. Again, these read like a textbook. Then there are the coloring pages, and each page begins with an explanation and vocabulary words that YOU will use to label the pictures (explanation of each word is in the page description). I feel like the pictures are really clear and clean, and makes for good coloring. There are 256 pages in the DK book. In Kaplan's book, things are covered in more detail, with 335 pages and 95 flashcards! It follows a similar format as the DK book, but there's no color pages except for the ones you color. Also, there are pictures only on one side of the page, which does make for a smaller book if they were printing back and front. There's more packed into each page, and some of the drawings are quite small, but with more detail. For example, the section covering the eye is two pages. In the DK book there are four pages devoted to the eye, with pictures of the muscles around the eye as well. In the Kaplan book I feel things are crammed in a little more on each page, resulting in smaller pictures. But the DK book pictures are much bigger. Still, I'm happy with both purchases and plan to work in both. Review: Helpful and fun - Great way to visualize learning in a fun way. I color and label a bit before bed, it’s helped me learn terms and names.

Two for one; clear images, detailed descriptions
I took one for the team. I bought two different coloring books, this one and the Anatomy Coloring Book by Wynn Kapit/Lawrence M. Elson. They are both great books but, depending on what you're looking for, you'll like one more than the other. Let's start with this book, Human Body Coloring. This book has very clear, large drawings that are a little on the simple side. For each system, there is a section before describing in color that system and its function. I've included examples from the heart section to this review. The book by Wynn Kapit/Lawrence M. Elson is also a great book but it looks different than Human Body Coloring. There is also a descriptive section before each section, but it's shorter and more to the point. The images are a much more detailed and realistic. However, they are occasionally on the smaller side. In short, Human Body Coloring has more background info and clearer images. The Anatomy Coloring Book by Wynn Kapit/Lawrence M. Elson has shorter to the point descriptions and more realistic, detailed images.

Has things from AP1 to AP2
I absolutely enjoyed this book because I had ADHD and focusing on color stimuli. I gave it a four because I would have thought it would try to have the max amount of information (which I know sometimes is impossible) but it had a good bit. Just if you have a class with some terms that aren't in the book I would just do a little side notation of where it would be located. It is a very detailed book with many point of views which is very helpful. I still would consider this to anyone and maybe a few others for realistic views too. Highly recommended

DK: THE HUMAN BODY COLORING BOOK
OMG: DK never fails! Love DK books.. This book is amazing. The systems are broken down so easily… By the time u finish coloring, u have memorized structures. I bought it for my daughter for her A&P class at the Uni, she’s a pharmacy major, loved it!! I also liked it so much that I ordered one for me. I am a nurse and I can do some coloring in my free time instead of social media. Plus good for the brain🤩 Thanks DK!

Very detailed and helpful for studying anatomy. Lots of pages with information on the body parts and the pages are not glossy , so good for colouring.

Disfruto mucho de sentarme a dibujar y si puedo aprender algo nuevo mucho mejor, puedes ir saltando entre diferentes sistemas o partes del cuerpo y viene una explicación breve que es fácil de entender.

I'm an Acupuncturist and picked up this book to help me refresh anatomy knowledge and to fill in gaps for things I may have not learned in school. Hopefully the pictures give you an idea of how detailed this book is but I think that it would be great for almost anyone looking to get a more detailed grasp on anatomy (and some physiology) knowledge. Pages are thick paper, drawings are nice and detailed without being confusing, and the colour images are fantastic. The information contains a level of detail that is a few steps up from a hardcore academic textbook, and is wonderfully organized and colour coded. This is the anatomy book I wish I would've had in school.
