Basic OBD2 scanners are all the same and run up to about $50, without overpaying(which is imminently easy to do!) At %30 Off, this was $20 delivered(). And also came with small handful of really clutch features! Most OBD2 scanners need to be plugged in(for each use) and controlled from a crudely basic control box that has a very limited number of buttons(true through more expensive models also). But this item offers Bluetooth connectivity with your smartphone, making the (Graphic)User Interface, and total amounts of Data displayed go from night to day(.) Of the small percentage of OBD2 scanners on the market that are Bluetooth; an even smaller percentage come with their own App. Most Bluetooth OBD2 scanners say "Recommended by These Apps" and refers to a list of 3rd Party App Vendors for you to become involved with; some free some not, some basic some over your head.) But this product comes with it's own application, tried and tested to work with it's own product! Similar Bluetooth OBD2 scanners, that come with a dedicated App, are mostly in the >$100 range! The QR to the app is printed directly on the user manual included, for both iOS and Android compatibility. At that two more things. Firstly is that it was all quite simple to use. There are not very many steps to setup. And navigating within the App is also simple. Secondly the App is a little more extensive than your average basic OBD2 scanner. There are just more functions available(aside from code scanning and clearing) like Performance testing, Datastreaming, I/M(Inspection/Maintenance,) Mode 06(Emmissions,) etc. All which, again, are infinitely easier to read/compare on a smartphone touchscreen than the average digital(character only) screen and few lonely buttons of your traditional Basic-Advanced plug in OBD2 scanners! It almost lost a star because the printed set of directions never mentions when to turn the car on during setup. I actually had to refer to the product description here on Amazon to read of when/how to turn the key of the car. At that it does not make special note that you actually need to turn the car on, where as with most traditional obd2 scanners it is important that you only turn the ignition On(/Accessory) and do not fully start the vehicle. And it almost lost a star because there are two different warranties listed within product contents. There is a QR code to a Lifetime Warranty printed directly onto the scanner itself. But then there is a Warranty card that comes within the literature included, that mentions a 12 month warranty; though this Warranty has no mention of Registration. But I'm overall very happy with how easy it was to clear my engine code! The unit is meant to be left plugged in to track Trip metrics. I'm eager to learn how well that works out. I'll also be very pleased not to need to pull over, and plug a box in; to read any engine code that also might come up or recurs. Being able to check a code/light, within moments of it first turning on; via a cradled iPhone, should prove extremely beneficial! And, otherwise, it's Time to Clock some Performance Data(!)

This OBD2 scanner is a must-have tool if you work on your own vehicles or just want to know what’s going on under the hood. I used it to read codes on a 2003 Highlander and a newer Camry — it pulled the error codes instantly, gave me a plain-English explanation, and let me clear the codes after repairs. Impressive. It gives you a QR code to obtain the OBD program software. Take a cellphone picture of the code then hit Goggle Lens. The app was loaded in seconds. Had this done and working in car in 15 minutes. Make sure phone bluetooth is on. Pretty impressive. I was able to see engine data, fault codes and erase them. It is also pretty powerful with I/M monitors and mode 6/8 for which I have no clue what these mean. Not advanced but equal to low level scanners. Also has some other features I have not seen before like the dash board speedometer and some performance data I did not use. Like it so well ordering another. Only criticism is there is very minimal documentation and that is just to set it up, but not teach you how to use it. For the money a good buy, recommend.

This is a great tool to review all of the PID codes, and performance for your vehicle. I am able to use the app for free (which is rare), and it does very well. I can see everything from the manifold air pressure to the % of gas in the tank. I don't understand why everyone doesn't have one, just in case. My only complaint, even though it was a great price, is that it will not write to the computer. I can clear codes, but I can't program a key. I think this is something they should include, "FYI, you can do all these things we say, but don't try to reprogram a key fob". That costs an extra $100

Bought this instead of a fixd who tried to charge me for all kinds of extras I didn't want! Works like they say. Happy with my purchase!

This little device has a lot of power. It's easy to read through the app and does tell you what needs to be done for your vehicle.

I ordered this OBD2 scanner because my old code reader was outdated, and I wanted real-time data while working on my 2010 Escalade. I’ve always been a little skeptical of Bluetooth scanners, but within minutes of using this one, I was honestly wishing I had picked it up years ago. Right away, it showed over 30 different live data points while the engine was running including pressures, fuel usage percentages, and more. When I ran a diagnostic scan, it walked me through every vehicle option I could think of. After selecting my vehicle, it clearly displayed the codes, explained what they meant, and even offered suggestions on possible causes and where to start looking. After making a few adjustments based on those suggestions, I cleared the codes with a single tap, and moments later the vehicle was ready for the next test. During test drives, the real-time data was extremely helpful. I could see exactly when a code triggered, at what speed, and under what conditions something my old scanner could never do. Another big plus is how easily this works across different vehicles. I’ve already swapped it between cars with no issues at all. Overall, this scanner is powerful, easy to use, and packed with features. I genuinely wish I had ordered it years ago. Highly recommend for anyone who works on their own vehicles or just wants better insight into what’s going on under the hood.

This thing is pretty awesome! It's gives a lot of details, and you can save the info as a PDF. Gives real time data as you drive if you want. Diagnostics, and will clear codes for you. For the price how well it works, and how much info comes with the app is insane.
