Q: Has anyone tried tie dying these?

I wouldn't bother. I washed these in cold before using and they shrunk to about half of the original size.

Q: Would these hold multiple binders/books?

Yes they would! I would say aprox. 3 binders and/or large books, maybe more. They are pretty big, you can def fit a lot in them, they just may not expand as wide since they is no flat like bottom, it is just a tote.

Q: Are these good for embroidery?

I would think so, I purchased them to press vinyl. Good quality material for the price.

Q: Has anyone tried photo transfers on these?

I did! I had the black bags and used the transfer paper for dark fabric. Turned out great!
