Zoo Med Habba Hut, Extra Large

Great size for a tortoise who loves to hide away!

I have an Afraid Pigmy hedgehog. He’s full size now and I needed a new hide for him because he’s outgrown the one he has. I chose this one because it’s closest to his current hide. I’m sooooo glad I did! He LOVES it.I would recommend washing it with soap and water before putting it in the cage just to get the dust off. And of course take out all the staples you find; but, after that, you’re good to go! I would absolutely buy this again.

My growing ball python loves this jumbo log hide. I have had one for my full grown ball python for a while and he loves it too so it was a no brainer about buying another one. The price is reasonable for the size. Highly recommend.

The only reason I don’t give this a five star rating is because of the size. My box turtle was too tall for it as it came. My husband modified it and it is great. Good price but as far as height, it wasn’t big enough.

For something labeled “extra large” it was pretty small.Also came with sap all over it.Skip this item.

I bought a x-large Habba Hut earlier this year...My 4.5 year old tortoise absolutely loved it!! He climbed all over it and slept inside. He went crazy trying to climb out of his pen or sulked in the corner when he didn't have his Habba Hut. I liked that the Habba Hut is sturdy and has not fallen apart or discolored. It's real wood and doesn't have any weird smells. It's not too heavy (Speedy liked to push it around his pen). After almost a year, my tortoise got a "bit" bigger. He started to wear his Habba Hut, so we figured it was time for a new one. We ordered the jumbo, but when we got the jumbo Habba Hut, its inner dimensions were exactly the same as the x-large. The outer dimensions were about 1.5" thicker on each side. Poor Speedy is out of luck. He can still climb on it, and even though he thinks he can still fit into it, he's really too big.

Our Tortoise grew out of his smaller habitat log. We got the "Giant" one. He loves it and he can actually turn around inside of it. It needs a good rinse before putting it in his habitat to get the saw and bark dust off of it. No big whoop. Awesome new hiding spot for him.

My daughter has a bearded dragon, and we needed something to add to his living. It says extra large on it however, this is definitely large, but the area underneath it for them to hide in is not large at all. So, instead, we had to lay it across two different pieces, and have it off the ground enough for him to be able to get under, and has some shade. Nice quality just not enough room underneath it to be considered an extra large.
