Keeps jars stable
Purchased as a recommendation for my steam canner. Works great and keeps my jars more stable on the platform vs the wire rack that came with the unit.

Worth the purchase!
This product is easy to use and I am very pleased with this product. Before buying I researched a lot and found this to be about as good a price as any too, especially for its capacity. I Have used it several times already with no problems (and had fun doing so)!. I am a first time canner this year and was quite apprehensive about this purchase. I was going to start with a smaller capacity canner but decided to go all way, right away with the bigger one because with the Presto 1781 23 Qt. Canner you can layer your jars and process more jars at one time. In saying that if you purchase the 23qt Canner, I recommend purchasing an extra rack because it only comes with one rack. If you want to layer jars you will need two racks. Presto Cooking/Canning Rack for pressure canner as purchased on Amazon. Instructions are easy to understand and the product works great. I feel like I am an old pro already and boy is it fun! The only thing negative I have to say is that the manual that came with my product is missing several pages. I was however able to easily retrieve a manual online at goPresto.com to get those pages. As with other reviews it does darken inside but that is par for the course for aluminum...does not effect the product in the least! Would definitely recommend this product! Price was just right as well!

Fit perfectly in my VERY big stockpot for water bath!
I recently got into canning and the small stockpot i had been using wasnt cutting it, but the bigger stock pot i had didnt have a flat bottom, and i was afraid after canning in the small pot of the jars bouncing into eachother and breaking due to the bottom not being flat. i measured my biggest stock pot (Tramontina 22qt Tri-ply base w/glass lid) and found this! Worked for water bath canning in my existing pot FLAWLESSLY! Canned 7 1qt jars of slow cooked marinara sauce with no jar movement! (and yes i know a pressure canner is also a water bath but i did not want to spend 7-10x the cost of this rack on a pressure canner!) My pot was appx. 11.3 inches at the widest point and this is supposed to be 11 inches, fit very well with the rounded edges at the bottom of the pot!

Not as nice as the original, but a good substitute
I purchased this as a second rack to canning two layers of pint jars in my old Mirro 22 qt canner. This rack works well, but it is a little shorter than the original when used as a bottom rack. The only complaint I have (and it is incredibly minor) is the location of the two dimples near the center of the rack. When used as the bottom rack, they are fine, but when used on top of the jars to stack a second layer, the dimples won't fit between the jars, so the rack sits crooked. Haven't had any sealing issues as a result, but I now use it only on the bottom and straightened my old rack for use under the second layer.
