A fantastically usefull device to store and dispense solder from a solder reel on the work bench. The dispenser is of a tidy black metal construction and features a heavy non-slip base and solder guide to ensure no tangling. Solder waste is also reduced as it is no longer necessary for the user to remove lengths of solder from the reel for each batch of soldering.Application::Accepts Most 500g Reels of all Gauges of SolderType::Solder DispenserWeight::500g Review: Great wire holder - Quick and easy to put together but sturdy and weighty so it doesn't topple. I use it for jewellery and other metal wires not solder and it's the perfect size for smaller to mid sized reels of wire and quick to swap reels over. Holds full reel of soder fine and does not move about when dispensing. The little ring that can be a ttached to the front is ok, and stops the solder on the reel getting tangled up is a bit basic. I've attached a bit of spring metal to the side to press lightly against the rim of solder reel so it cannot spin freely. If you pull out a length of solder too quickly the reel keeps spinning and unspooling; adding something to create a little friction prevents that.

Solid heavy stand, very well made.
Excellent solder stand. Holds a standard 1-pound roll of solder and pays it out consistently. Base is quite heavy, as is the round metal bar. Metal plates are quite thick; this is not something you'll accidentally bend or deform. I've used these at work for years and have never had a problem. Great for hobby or production use.

Super sturdy and a fraction of the price of the big brand alternatives
If you do a lot of soldering one of these reels is a must. I have been using mine for a year now and gone through a 250g roll of solder and its been perfect. Its super sturdy and an absolute bargain.
