Very gentle on the stomach. If I take one at night before bed, I am able to gently get relief before around 9:00 AM the next day. No curling up in the fetal position with stomach cramps. Just the gentle urge to go. I’ve been using these for about six years now due to some medication that causes occasional constipation. I can’t recommend them strongly enough.

I have been using Dulcolax laxatives for almost three years now. As you know, the Dulcolax Pink only came out recently. The regular orange tablets were extremely painful for me and would cause extreme stomach pain. It was so painful that when I first started using them, I would be laying on the floor crying. But it was the only thing that worked for me, otherwise I would be stuck up to five days. When I first started using the Pink, I noticed a significant change. I wasn't experiencing extreme cramping anymore. It's really good for people who suffer with chronic constipation and need a laxative to take on a daily basis. However, if you've been stuck for several days, it will be painful when it moves all that hard stool. I've had a few incidents like this and I woke up crying one time. Now, the tricky part is figuring out how much you should take. One tablet is usually enough for me, I weigh 105 lbs. But, when I eat an excessive amount of bread and pasta that day, I go ahead and take two tablets. Beware! If you accidentally misjudge how much you need you can either remain uncomfortably constipated for another day or have the runs all day. My friend calls it "explosive diarrhea." If you ever had to prep for a colonoscopy, you know what I mean. If your stool is just hard, you may want to try a stool softener first. But if you are like me and have a slow colon and gastrointestinal problems and nothing seems to work, then I highly recommend it. Just start with one tablet first or you might be in for the world of pain. ______________________________________________________________________________ February 15, 2015 Product Update: I thought I would add some additional information. -The active ingredient in each tablet is Bisacodyl USP 5 mg to stimulate the laxative. -Inactive Ingredients: acacia gum, ammonium hydroxide! beeswax, carnauba wax, corn starch, D&C Red #27 aluminum lake, ethanol, FD&C Blue #2 aluminum lake, FD&C Yellow #6 aluminum lake, glycerol 85%, glyceryl monostearate, iron oxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid - ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) type A (Eudragit L 30 D-55), methyl paraben, modified starch, polyethylene glycol 6000, polysorbate 8, povidone, propylene glycol, propyl paraben, shellac, sodium benzoate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate -It generally rakes about 6-12 hours to produce a bowel movement -If you take 2 tablets (10 mg) it will not be excreted into your breast milk -Adults and children over 12 years of age can take 1-3 tablets, -Children 6 to 12 years of age can take one tablet in a single dose -Swallow the tablet whole and do not take within an hour of consuming dairy or antacids such as milk of magnesia, alka setzer, pepto bismal, etc. -You can take a dulcolax tablet either before or after meals. One hour before bed time is usually preferred. How does it work? The way my doctor explained it to me is that the laxatives signal your body to draw water to your intestines, allowing your bowel to soften. This is because if a bowel sits too long in your intestines, it will increasingly become dry.

Every single time I buy these from the grocery store or local, it takes roughly 6-12 hours for them to work. When I order them from Amazon…bam, at least 3 hours and it’s over with. They must be ‘fresh’ lol🤣 I normally have ‘issues’ with my stomach due to medication I take. It gets really really bad. But Dulcolax Pink is always good. 👍 I’ve tried the green and eh, they work (kind of ) but not like the pink. They’re really small, and easy to swallow. I’m 36, 5’5 and 150 pounds and can take 3 at one time. I believe the dose instructions say 2-3? Nonetheless, they’re always delivered next day and packaged well.

Docolax laxative worked for me first time. Be ready and be posted near where you need to be. Works fast!!

It worked. Result was painful. Large, very soft, though not watery so wouldn't say it was diarrhea, though no formed stool showed. After the cleanup in aisle two, needed to go again, though this time didn't get to toilet soon enough. So, more to deal with. Took amount directed, though if ever needed again, would only take one tablet as shown in info online, wish the box would have warned as such. Thouh box directions did say 1-3 tablets, thought 1 tablet wouldn't do anything. Guess this is the difference between a stool softener and actual laxative. Glad for result, wish it had not been painful.

One small tablet typically works in 8-12 hours.
